My third print killed my screen.
The first two prints were marvelous. I added supports and sliced the third file. Woke up to a failed print, the raft was there and a single partial support. There was cured resin on the fep.
When cleaning the fep I found a divot. I looked in the Photon and saw something on the screen. I felt the screen and immediately knew something was wrong, another divot on the screen. I inspected and the screen is cracked. The divot in the fep matched the divot to the screen.
I haven't dropped anything in the photon. Is there any way a light or medium support could crack the screen? My photon does make some noise when it starts the print, but I don't think the plate is the issue as it's flat.
I doubt I can get the screen replaced in warranty. It's not really a defect. I bought my Photon 7 days ago, and last night I bought another with the lightning deal so I could return it and get some of that discounted price. I'm not gonna send back the bad screen, but it is kind of ironic.
