One of my most ambitious prints yet (file from Johnny 5- Thingiverse...plus a couple parts I had to make), considering all the parts that had to fit together...I’d say my Photons did pretty good.

Total noob here. Just got my first printer, the Photon. They were out of the translucent green and didn't send any resin, but will send it when it's back in stock. So I went on Amazon and bought the cheapest Anycubic resin. Not sure why different colors are different prices, but it was 500ml of maroon.

I'm guessing this is the culprit for my constant failed prints, as I consistently get up to about 1 mm of the foundation of the print stuck on the FEP. I've tried every leveling method I can find, have tuned the FEP to 330 Hz, shaken the resin, tried the exposure finder by x3msnake, done a few dances, prayers, and sacrifices. No dice.

When you press Home in the z-move section, is it supposed to go down, beep twice, come back up a few mm, then go back down to home? I've wiggled paper under while doing this, as it acts like it's sensing too much pressure (like a garage door), but it doesn't pinch the paper. It does this every time when going home, or beginning a print. Not sure if it's relevant at all. especially as the first number of layers does seem to print fine.

I'm trying to find the name of the z-axis upgrade for the Photon (not S). I tried fixing my z-wobble twice using Anycubic's guide for fixing z-wobble without success. What was the upgrade called, and is it completely reliable to fix the z-wobble?

Got given some standard grey elegoo (not the rapid). Never used this. There is only 1 setting in the spreadsheet, wondered if anyone has used it?

Edit: or are all of their resins "rapid resins". looking at their website it looks like the same bottle I got

Trying to do the resin test print and it only comes out with a flat layer all the way across instead of all the lines of circles. Any thoughts?

Hello everyone,

I have been printing with my anycubic proton for a while now and have followed many tips and tricks that I have found on this page. I print airsoft related parts and therefore I am looking for a strong resin that doesn’t break and can take a beating. It may be a bit flexible but not fragile/brittle. Can someone tell me which resin I can use best?

I'm new to resin 3D printing (but I have 2 Prusas ^^) and I got my Anycubic Photon from a friend who hasn't the time for it (in exchange for printing minis for him ^^)

He only gave me Druckwege Type D black and red resin, so I'm using the Google Table for the exposure times.

As I had watched some videos, Anycubic packs a sample print on the USB drive and some green Resin with the printer.

I'm wondering right now, why the print on the USB drive is rated for 3 hours, but when I use the times from the Google table my slicer (Chitubox 1.5.0) says it will take 6 hours (for the Druckwege resin the test print will take 10 hours).

Wonders me that the time is to long.
