Hi, I made an experiment trying to do glow in the dark resin. I mix glow poder with clear anycubic resin. First try was great, it was just an inch circle. Then I printed something bigger and notice that poder went down the vat. Did Simeone made something Like this before? Thanks

I'm going to start my first print where I have to add more resin to the vat midway through. Do I do this by hitting the pause button on the printer?

Couple questions for the group. Have any of you experienced a USB error during your prints? Is this usually an issue with the USB drive it's self or something internal? Do the USB drives have to be formated or should they be compatible out of the packaging if I go to replace the one that came with it? Thanks in advance.

I just grabbed ChituBox to serve as an alternate slicer.

My first two test prints have the support printing just fine but the model doesn't print at all, which is weird. Any advice on fixing this is welcome.

My photon slicer settings is:
Layer Thickness: 0.04
Normal Exposure 5.5
Off time 1

Bottom Exposure 80
bottom Layers 8

ChituBox:

Anyone have a recommendation for a more robust slicing program besides the anycubic or chitubox? I have a small logo on a figure that will only print correctly if I only have one figure on the build plate. Two or more and I get artifacts just through the logo. I tried printing directly on the build plate and at various different angles. I even tried making it a negative cut out and tried changing sizes of the logo. I tried different sd cards and ran it on several different photons. All the same results.

The grey one is what it is supposed to look like. I cut the print short on purpose to see how it was turning out.

The black one is how it turns out if there are more that 2 figures on the build plate.

Have you tried the Resin Exposure Calibration finder with a "Fast" or "ABS-like" resin? Then you should watch this video!

Printed a little halfling fellow, and the details aren't very good. I think the stl model is good, and I'll suck it up for this one mini, but it got me wondering: what's your favorite exposure settings for detailed minis? I've been printing at .04 and 10 sec exposure on Elegoo grey, but I think I might go down to .03/8 or .02/7. Will that help or hinder my tabletop dreams? What's yours lights off time, and does it affect detail?

I am proficient in Tinkercad, but it is not really able to handle the complex, organic curves that I would like to do for some pieces I want to create. Can anyone recommend a free modeling software that I can teach myself to allow myself to design the item below?
