After reading a lot of posts I'm totally at a loss on which printer to buy .... First timer here and I was sold on the reg. Photon but ive read in this group about the fauxton ans photonS issues as well as completely different brands .... Argh !

Super frustrating.. I got the Photon S last week and have been printing a lot on it. I decided I wanted to do a larger print that i spent probably 1 hour supporting and then 1.5 hours after validator to fix. Validator only takes .photon files so i saved my model as such as i worked on it in chitubox. Once completed I exported it again and ran through validator.

No problems and perfect model at this point. Validator kept the .photon extension and it wont read in my photon s.. ive been told theres a firmware update to fix that but i have no idea how to do that and it wont import my .photon file because its too large.

Hi!

When you print as a printing service, how do you guys calculate how much to charge a customer basing on an .stl file only? Please don't take taxes into consideration, as I'm not a registered company ;)

I tried replacing the FEP of my Photon and one of the screws is stripping and I can't get it out. Any tips? And/or anyone know where I can just buy a replacement metal frame that screws around the FEP?

Hi! I have a question for those who use Photon Workshop. What lift and retract speed and lift distance should I use to avoid parts from breaking due to possible fep sticking?
My last print broke from supporting points and everything went so weird like sections printed in wrong places as everything was moving arround.
I was using 3mm/s for both lift and retract speeds and 5mm distance. What settings you guys use?
