I would like to make some mechanical parts. What resins are reasonably strong? I would like to print parts that I used to make out of CPVC and ABS.

I gave Nova3D Clear resin a shot tonight, the parts came out looking beautiful but severely yellowed after being cured. Is this normal? Did I possibly cook them too long (about 20 minutes in the UV pot)?

It’s no big deal after painting, but I’m like the option for future projects to print clear parts for internal lighting

Has anyone seen this... I consulted the giant list of exposure times. (.03 layer) These are my results with Anycubic Grey on the Photon S. I was really bummed out using the higher times people recommended due to serious loss of detail. It seems I have to severely cut my times the supports were a little weak and some were not connected. Are the 'S' more powerful? *Left the center one's supports on so you can see how I am printing these.*

Hello! I'm new to the group, and new to 3D printing. I received my Photon today and I was watching youtube videos and searching in Thingiverse and I found a file that I wanted to print. The problem is that I am getting an error in Chitubox, after slicing the file and trying to open it. The error states that the file is too large. See attached pictures for both the error and the file I want to print. I'm using the Chitubox anycubic photon profile. BTW. Any recommendations?

So, I updated the firmware on my Photon S because I was excited about the new Resin Exposure Finder, only to discover Anycubic's slicer is missing a lot of features, and I'd like to go back to ChiTuBox. It says I can go back to the old firmware (v2.9x) but I can't seem find the file anywhere- does anyone know how to do it? Thanks

Ok totally new to this technology and just want some advice. I was set on purchasing the Photon S but then after some more reading it appears to have some disadvantages that made me think twice. Firstly the build quality - the case sure does look a little flimsy. Next I read that the control board in the original works better with 3rd party slicer tools? Lastly that the original has a much better community of support around it? Now I’m not sure what to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I've just replaced the LCD on my Photon (original LCD got ripped off when it got stuck to the bottom of the vat). I checked the test rectangle, and all seemed fine. I leveled the build plate and did a short print to test the machine. The print came out with a lot of extraneous material. Upon rechecking the test rectangle it is now full of artifacts and lines on top of the basic test pattern. Is this a duff LCD?

Thanks for the help with supports yesterday! Using Chitubox I think I'm ready to slice and print for the first time! However, under the preview You can see the internal 'parts' of my sculpt (see the eye balls)Is this normal or have I neglected to do something when exporting my STL from ZBrush? Would love to know if this will mess things up before I commit to a print! Thanks!
