Me again, apologies for all the questions but I'm a complete noob. Elegoo has a recommended UV cure of 405nm, the MelodySusie nail lamp I bought to cure prints chucks out a 365nm wavelength. Will it not cure at all or just cure slower? I've had successful prints and 'cured' them with this lamp but have concerns that it's not actually curing them. Being noob, I'm not sure what classifies as cured.

Thanks again for your help, this community is amazing!

I was recently asked the question about why the prices of 3D printing are so expensive. Well most of us with 3D printers are not large organizations so we don't have money to cover things like prints that went wrong.
And because this particular type of rocket science hasn't been around long enough to understand how to solve most of the problems you have an incredibly High failure rate. So to overcome this you charge fully for the work. This particular part has already used $10 in resin and 12 hours of electricity to run printer not to mention the hours to design the part and figure out how to slice it. Of course it failed and I will have to reprint it and hope I get it right this time.
So if you wounded why are the costs so high? Its because the equivalent oh paper printer is this......
Imagin I asked you to print on your home printer 2402 perfect pages? That's how much ink and how much did the ink the paper and the electricity and time to print that cost and take?
Its a technical art form. That costs a lot!

Has anyone else experienced trouble with Chitubox holes?
I used it correctly a while ago, but now it seems to be trying to make a hole on the camera view or something.
I'm on 1.5 (had the same error with 1.3 and 1.4)

Help Needed:

My problems started a few days ago.
First, I could no longer copy or delete from the original USB stick I got with the printer. No problem - I replaced it.
Yesterday I started a print. About 16 minutes in I got a memory error which halted the print. I looked it up and saw that a lot of people have issues with USB sticks. So I am now trying another. The problem now is that the printer printer will start up and I get the menu but it will not respond to any commands given to it via the touch screen. It beeps as if it recognizes that I'm telling it to do something but that's it.

Any thoughts?

So my brother says "Hey, Max (my nephew, who is autistic) has this crane he adores. Uses the hook like a wrecking ball to knock down Lego's and such. Could you make an actual wrecking ball?

Feckin' A right, I can.

But in order to scale it to the crane, it's a little too wide for the build plate. So I cut it in half. (My FDM printers are all printing in various states of less than optimal right now, so that's not the solution I need.)

Wondering... best way to glue the halves together? I do that with FDM prints all the time. Not sure of the best methods and products for resin. (Elegoo grey)

Use epoxy? CA glue? Resin + UV?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

Is there any way to print a part with two different configurations of layer height and exposure time? I want to print the first 5mm, which are almost only supports, at 0.05mm and 12sec. The rest at 0.02mm and 10sec. Any way to modify the file so that it prints faster?
