Hello everyone,

I've noticed that there are some thick lines on my prints and I can't figure out what's going on... Tried several different settings, resins, positions, supports and hollow models.

The bottom section of the z axis is
a bit clunky and doesn't go down smoothly. The upper section is smooth though. Please watch video. There is a subtle click at second 10 and 22. Difficult to hear. Not sure if this is the cause...

Any ideas?

So i have been wondering compared to FDM printing where you basically have a good guess on if your material will be enough or not (and if not you usually have a failsafe) how do you know with the photon if a particular print will finish with the amount of resin you poured into your vat?

I am wondering because i just spent about an hour perfecting the support placement (what a pain in the ass this is compared to FDM jeeez) for a model i want to try to print and after slicing it and running it through the photon validator tool it gives an estimate of ~10 hours. Thats quite long. And then it occured to me that based on the instructions you should only fill the vat to around the beveled edge which i assume would not cover the amount of resin the printer would use in those 10 hours time.

So the question remains: How do you know how much resin you need for a print and if its a long print where you won't be constantly near the printer how do you avoid running out of resin mid print?

Hi All. I'm new to resin 3d printing and I just bought the Anycubic Photon. I'm wondering if I have a defective printer though. I tried going through the UV detection and the image appears on the screen, but the main LCD on the print bed remains dark. Do I need to hook something else up to get it to work, or should it work right out of the box? I did a firmware update as well, but the screen still remains dark. Thanks.

I have my photon vented out the window, have a "window seal" but still getting a ton of bugs. Any suggestions? Maybe I should cut a hole in the screen that was in that window and put the vent through that? Or maybe just adhering the end of the pipe to the screen will be enough to get it out? Just kinda tired of the bugs in the house

Does anyone have a picture of the power brick for the printer or the specs for it?

I may have misplaced mine and can’t remember which one goes to the printer... and I want to double check if any of these other random bricks I have will work before I try to run prints with them.

I looked on the back of the printer for the specs I’m just bad with electronics and wouldn’t mind a real opinion
