Changed my FEP for the first time using a printed bottle cap sized wedge, and it worked perfectly. The new FEP looks much better, much clearer than the one that it this with. First prints came out flawless!

Edit: don’t use the settings I show in this photo to add your Photon or other CBD printer to Z-Suite. Use the ones Michal shows in the comments.

Apparently Zortrax Slicer (Z-suite) writes .photon and .cdbdlp files now. So I tried it out and it has a couple cool features like horizontal correction for base layers, and extra exposure for supports only. But a major limitation is that it only allows you to slice .05mm layers if you configure a custom (non-Zortrax) printer type. Kind of a bummer. Still, options are good so maybe some of you will want to check it out.

I was having rebooting issues with my Photon after the first couple of layers. I pulled off the back panel wiggled some wires and then loaded EPAX firmware and I have not stopped printing since! I am working with Anycubic on the issue but since it is working I am not touching a thing. I suspect a crappy power supply but nothing firm yet.

I got an email about Zortrax new slicer update. I guess it supports external LCD printers. It has the .photon format. I’m going to test it. Not sure if you can download it with out owning a Zortrax machine. I have a m200.

It's probably been asked before but I am looking for a non fan boy and unbiased opinion of how the Elegoo Mars stacks up against the Photon. I have 2 Photons and I have heard alot of great things about the Mars but they were always out of stock... Hence why I have a Sparkmaker instead of a Mars...

We have been using the trial of Formware 3D software for slicing models for our Anycubic Photon but our trial ran out the other day. I reached out to them to see if they'd be willing to donate a license to our nonprofit and they got back to me immediately and agreed to donate a commercial license! The software itself is awesome, have not played around with all the features yet but it blows away the Anycubic slicer and even ChituBox.

Thanks Formware, nice to see a company willing to support a great cause despite us being on a different continent!
