Just celebrating a successful print and my 5e PCs getting their own minis!

All hero forge minis and primered.

All printed at the same time at a 45.

Monocure Rapid Clear/Monocure Flex 70/30 ratio.

.02 layer height
8s exposure
16 bottom layers
60 bottom exposure
~8.5 hours

+ Extra fully painted fire giant at .05! (Ignore the broken/glued base and the fact that I'm a chump at painting. Just excited! ? )

Anyone have a good print setting on the Photon S for Anycubic Gray and Phrozen ABs-like Gray? I have them dialed in perfectly on my standard Photon but on Photon S, no luck. Thinking maybe the exposure times are too long with the more powerful LED in the S

Avid cr-10, ender-2 owner here over the past 2-3 years or so and finally jumping into the deepend with resin ($359 seemed like a good deal on the toss up between this and the moai for the past 3 months)...

Lots of reading to do methinks.

I noticed a few others in this group who were lured by price and fancy double doors into purchasing a seemingly almost direct knock-off of the Photon, the TronXY Ultrabot. I am also that person, this may help if like me you are having issues although this fix is not necessarily specific to the TronXY.

My problem was with (what I felt was) too much light getting through the dark portions of the LCD and curing resin around the "unexposed" areas of my FEP. Despite many requests for a way to adjust/modify the LCD contrast tech support took the "all resins are different, settings vary, blah, blah, blah" approach. Unsatisfied (and unconvinced) I came up with a manual work-around. Clear (coloured) cello gift wrap. All I could find at the local dollar store was purple (I had planned to try different colours) so I purchased it and put a piece between the vat and the LCD screen and it seems to block enough light in the dark areas to prevent curing resin outside the print area yet allows sufficient light through where needed (in effect it is increasing the contrast). It is also thin enough to not affect the bed leveling.

Well for some reason the LCD cable delaminated itself from the board. UGH!!

Removed it and cracked the top glass of course.

Replacement options? Amazon? eBay?

My Anycubic resin just arrived. The air filled bag was completely deflated and the top of the cap is completely cracked. I’ve alway printed with Siraya resins til now. Their packaging is 100x better. I guess you get what you pay for.
