My newest set of prints came out really nicely I'm amazed at what the photon can do

The unicorn is a perfect example of why you should check the supports I didn't and it lost its face

Are there any good guide videos out there for placing your own supports?

Hello everyone, hope you're all enjoying the lovely weather outside while their Photons print faultlessly in the background....

I have had the Photon for a few weeks and generally really happy with it, most fails are due to my own lack of knowledge and incorrect support positioning. HOWEVER! A few times during the last few weeks, and about 5 times today alone, I have been getting 'Memory error code: M_11800. please try to Replug the USB disk and continue printing.'

I have tried reinserting the USB and after pressing continue, the machine freezes up with the built plate just sitting in the tank.
When i first got the error, I bought a SanDisc Blazer hoping it was the cheapo supplied USB.
It used to randomly happen part way through a build, maybe 5 or 15%. I'd restart, clean and print again without any changes to the file and it would work perfectly.

Today though, it failed after the first layer and then the stepper motor died too. After a quick restart the bed moves without fault.

I have opened up the back and checked USB connection which seemed fine.
Anyone else suffering/ suffered and resolved it?

Any feedback or thoughts would be hugely appreciated!
Thank you.

Hi all! Got my printer a few days ago and I've been trying to print this Shenron keycap. This is the only print I've tested so far.

Here's the file: https://www.myminifactory.com/…/3d-print-dbz-shenron-mechan…

I'm having an issue with the eyes. I think I've narrowed it down to the orientation of the model. The eyes on the middle model printed just fine but the stem underneath failed. There's also a weird flat platform on it that you can see on the top left keycap. The flat one on the far left printed with the best detail but the left eye is closed when it should be open.

I'm also having an issue with shrinkage. These will not fit on the switch as the stem is too small. Does anyone know the appropriate scaling to account for this? I'm worried about printing functional parts because of this.

I've tried leveling the bed with both the paper method and the Flint Reed method. The paper method is the most recent.

So excited to get this thing fully operational!

Got a problem with my older photon, (blue windows) I just changed the LCD, did the UV detection, level the plate, all good no hickup. I noticed when I print, the plate don't move up/down between exposition like my newer one. I flashed it to the latest firmware (4.2.17) and while at it I also installed the photonster UI (thanks God, I can now read what's on the screen!) Still same issue, the build plate don't move up/down between exposure. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Anyone have a working profile for Monocure Rapid Clear?

I have alot of issues with it. According to the Photon calibrator test 16 second is what I need. Sound odd to me.

Now the printa usually come out alright. Except for the underside where supports connect. It's like it can't handle it. It's like there is tons of pooling that them cures so the undersides are all lumpy and looks terrible. I don't know if it's the settings, the FEP, the LCD or something completely different.

I will post shitty pictures. But my camera sucks and it's clear resin so I understand if you guys can't see anything.

Good afternoon everyone, hope you're having a better weekend than me :) I have a quick question that hopefully someone has come across before....

My larger prints keep lifting on the edges of the raft which in turn messes up the first few layers of the models.....

is this a curing time thing on my base layer? do I need to increase the exposure time or is it a thickness issue and I need to make my raft/base layer thicker?

Any help guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I need to work on doing my own supports and not do auto. But I am proud of the detail.
