I'm sure this is a real common question but I'll ask it anyways, is there any reason why when I start my print the resin hardens and sticks to the vat bed and not to the metal plate like it's supposed to?

How do you all print tanks? Sometimes I have trouble with orientation/supports due to the treads.

So the tank on the left was a perfect print. The one on the right had that artifacting problem where slabs of dried resin form in the middle of the print. After doing some deep diving into this group ive found similar reports from people with a flickering lcd causing the artifacts to form during prints.

Assuming thats the cause, my questions would be....

Has anyone found a solution to it?
And would it be intermident? The tank on the left was 1 of 3 printed in a large batch and all 3 are flawless.

Hey guys looking for some advise. I am going to build my printer a sound deadening case (it’s loud and sits behind me in study in a corner and directs all the sound right at me). I just wanted to know if a usb extension cable would work ok so I don’t need to leave tonnes of space to the side. I was thinking of a bell jar kid of set up so I can easily open up door.

using the PhotonFileValidator, should one convert with anti-aliasing before fixing? or fix, then use the anti-aliasing. is there much difference between using Gaussian 3 and Gaussian 5 ? I just started playing with it, and I was wondering how the work order changes the results. Thanks!

Good morning fellow printers!

Not what I was expecting this morning.

Please see my video below.

I’ve dropped the original knob in front of the Photon sliced file on the screen so you can see what’s happening. I didn’t save the sliced as an STL unfortunately to show.

There should be holes but saving to the stick it has filled them and joined them together with the bar you can see.

Also stacks of z wobble!
