I acquired one a few days ago and i like this machine.

I am a jeweler, and I was wondering if this resin can be used to make jewelry molds like the lost wax method or if it wont melt in the furnace.

This Waxcast resin is absolutely ridiculous. The only resin I have trouble with. Yes I even used the recommended settings from the group. It’s trash. Is the BlueCast or EasyCast worth getting for the Photon ?

Getting the setting right. I kept getting parts sticking to my FEP. Changed off time to 5 an got these bit of sagging so may decrease to 4. Apparently the FEP film gets tacky when warm so increasing the offtime let's you print taller without it getting too warm.

AA incoming.

Just a headsup. Chitubox 1.4.0 has just been released and it includes AA slice function in the preset profile for the original Photon.

Previously, the AA settings could only be accessed via a custom profile.

You can now prepare, slice and export your model files (*.photon) with AA. All that is needed to print them is when the AA firmware update is released by Anycubic. It is almost ready and being beta tested right now.
