How many of you have your printers in the garage? I would like to put mine in garage but worried about dust and debris since the doors are opened regularly? Do I need to anything to seal the printer or anything?

OK here's my attempted leveling technique.
Won't start a print until I come back on Sunday.
Let me know what you guys think...
Pretty sure I've messed this one up on the height slightly but I'm confident that the plate is as parallel to the lcd as its going to get
(definitely managed prints with a greater margin of error.)
Should I go +/- a up 0.1 or 0.2mm from the point where I can no longer push the paper?

I was in the process of setting up my new Photon and got as far as the screen test. Does anyone have any advice on what's wrong? I'm only getting half the rectangle. I sent a message to Anycubic support but thought maybe I'd check with the hive mind if there's a quick fix for this. Thanks!

it's almost been a year since printing with my photon, life happens. LOL ;) just wondering which of the new color resins by anycubic is easiest to print with. i know green when the photon 1st came out was great, but i want to check out some of the new colors to see how they look.

Sometimes before I try to make it in 3d on the computer I build a real world model. Here's a Crappie. I don't know yet how to do the scales in 3d other then whats called a map. But Ill get it.

How close to edge of fep/build plate do you get?

Curious about a problematic print. See the flat edges of the bases? They should be round. You can see where the bases didn’t print near the edge of the fep sheet (about 1/16 or 1/8 inch).. you can see on two of the bases it has parts missing along the x and y plane.

Not sure why this would be.

To any of you wondering what the differences between parts printed with/without anti aliasing are, here are some photos demonstrating those differences.

Unfortunately, Photons don't support anti aliasing in the firmware (yet?), so these were printed on a different (similar) printer that does offer anti aliasing. The 3D Benchy models were scaled to 70% of their original size and were printed directly on the build plate.

Notice how dramatic the improvement is on steep vertical angles, and how it has no discernable effect on the stair stepping of the layers on the top of the model.
