Suggestion/Tip... If you're hollowing and digging a hole in a model put a second hole opposite you're fist (If it's possible) to facilitate drainage. I used a drill as the resin wouldn't drain out of the single 3mm hole I dug in. I bet you guys know this already though:)

So I’m new to the photon, and I use it to make masters for regular resin castings. I’m curious, but what’s the smallest layer height it can effectively handle, or does that come down to the type of resin used?

I apologise in advance if this is asked often. Just ordered my photon :D looking for some tips tricks and or advice that you wish you knew about starting in. I've done a lot of research and familiar with FDM for the last 2 years, but I know this is a whole different animal. Just curious if there's any advice or recommendations for getting started.

I understand how to set the Z offset slash leveling the plate. right off the bat if I have any play in the z-axis I'm going to take it apart and tighten up the centric bearings. I've ordered some replacement FEP sheets just in case so I'm not stuck waiting.

Need an assist, I've tried a few time to print some D20 Dice and they keep coming out elongated like in this pic below.

Here are the specs:

Anycubic Clear Resin
Layer thickness: 0.05
Exposure 8
Off time 1
Bottom exposure 100
Bottom layers 8
Temperature around printer 65F / 18.3C

D20 dice model is solid for printing and around 30mm in all axis

Heavy supports with the dice not directly on the plate.

Just a helpful guide for tuning the FEP after changing it. I was having trouble with not being able to calibrate it properly as I wasn't sure what was the best way to check for the FEP frequency. Ended up with a bunch of weirdly warped prints..! Hope this is helpful.

This is running on older printer whilst i await new printer main board... this is with the new firmware... its so much quieter and also the timings on the screen are much closer to real time now... Anycubic White..

This is 1:148 Scale..

Look like my LCD screen went south. Only half of it is lighting up. I submitted a tech support with Anycubic to get a warranty replacement. In the mean time, Is there an upgrade LCD I can put in there? Something better that will last longer? Thanks in advance.

Finally it prints, thanks to all the advice from this group, I think I needed longer exposure and warm resin to make it work. Totally blown away by the detail, I will be looking to print at 0.1mm to get a bit more speed as I dont need anywhere this level of detail.

What are considered good resins for things around the house like phone docks, custom tool holders for peg boards and similar. Also looking for one capable of very high detail for scale models although still fairly large models in the feet size range.
