Has anyone ever returned to the printer when its finished a job to find a load of resin has somehow cured itself to the top of the build plate!??? Never seen that before!...

I replaced the FEP of my bath last night and possibly naively had it too tight, I had it flush when I put the small screws back in, then it would have obviously tensioned it even further when I added the larger screws and pulled it around the frame. To sum it up, it was very nice and tight, but can the FEP ever be too tight? I'm struggling to get the print to stick to the build plate now. I'm getting the pop for the first few layers then it seems to drop off and sit in the bath. Any suggestions?

Question: What is the best way to avoid cloudiness when processing clear resin prints?

WTF? Last nights print is very stepped. It was sliced in ChiTuBox v1.3.0 using the in built Photon Settings 10 secs per layer 3 bottom layers at 40 secs. New bottle of AnyCubic Green (UK) and a new FEP. Yet the model is layer stepped like an FDM printer. The detail is great, just very serrated. Any suggestions from the experts?

Question: Why are people sanding their print plates? I’ve been seeing a lot of failed prints with the blue anodize(?) sanded off. It seems like that’s what might be causing a leveling issue (and therefore bad prints) because it’d take precision to sand the surface perfectly flat to be flush with the film/glass. No?

Hey gang,

Thanks to all your help I got the Anycubic Yellow working well.

It needed a 16 exposure and I had to warm up the resin much more than I thought I would but it worked great.

I know the top is not done but I stopped it early as the print succeeded

Here's a new one to me... print started fine (left side) but as the print went on the stripping got worse and worse until the end (right side).

The frequency is much higher than the pitch of the Z-axis, and the stripes are significantly deeper than the faint Z-wobble lines I sometimes see.

Thoughts? Printed in Siraya Blue @ 35C.
