I'm working on how I can take better pictures, these aren't too great but hopefully good enough to make my point

These are about 30mm high, printed 1 after the other with monocure rapid black at 9s exposures. Printed standing up with heavy supports

I did a quick clean using a resinaway bath then 3 minutes in a Sonic bath again with resinaway then cured under a uv lamp

I didn't take care removing supports, and the sword on 1 got broken.

So can is the difference between the 2 prints obvious? I'm old with poor eyesight and can't tell which was printed at 50u and which at 100u

The paper shared a few days on this ago on this group showed 2 models side by side both at 100u , an fmd print and a sla print , and the difference was remarkable. It got my attention and I decided to test

Print time was dramatically reduced

Next I'll do one of my large giant models (Duncan shadow) to compare
And I'll try to figure out how to take better pictures of black objects

More to follow

Evening all,

I'm just playing about with the slicer and I have a couple of questions about two unrelated .stl files that i'm looking into printing.

1) .stl file 1 is has two components in fixed position. If I could separate them I think they'd both fit nicely on the print plate, however when I rotate or move them they move as a pair. Is it possible to separate them into two .stl objects so they can be added individually?

2) Object 2 is made up of about 30 individual .stl files. Only one of those components is too large despite rotation etc. Is it possible to edit that particular file and chop it into smaller parts, for want of a better term? I'd rather not reduce the scale of the model at this stage.

3) Object 2 again. Some of the parts are so small that I'm wondering if I can stack them in the slicer vertically so they would print on top of each other with supports in between. Now I imagine if this happens it increases the risk of failure. So with that in mind. Is it better to cram as much as possible into the slicer or is it better to print only a few at a time and to not stack them?

They're probably basic questions but I'm trying to play catch up and I have a lot to learn.

Thanks in advance for the help.

These waves are where the support attaches to the model. Can I adjust exposure time to make this look better or just add more supports?

Hello all and thanks for the add. I am pretty new and just wanted to ask the members to check the supports on this WW2 radar dish model I am trying to make. I have several different attempts posted in the photos
