Hi there! My last print wasn’t 100% successful and I’m trying to figure out how to fix it and save the resin and time spent. It seems that some supports didn’t made it to stick firmly to the platform (seem to be those more far from the FEP center) so the figure left hand and part of the weapon weren’t printed. Do you think I could print them apart and stick the with resin to the model? Or maybe some bondo/sculpey modeling? Anyone tried it? How did you cut the parts? The model is not hollowed on that part so I hope it will not break during cutting... Any advise?

First Print Failed

So, first print failed: started with one edge peeling off while other side was attached.

I know to check that the build plate is level, but is there anything else I should check?

Also, CLEANING: I used IPA, but I've read someone mention using acetone. What do you find is best to clean the build plate and plastic sheet with?

I'm having some issues getting Funtodo snow white to print successfully. I'm using heavy supports, 0.05 layer, 14s normal exposure, 6.5sec off, 60s bottom, 10 bottom layers. The pigment doesn't seem to be very evenly distributed, despite giving the bottle a vigorous shake before use. Base layers are printing fine but as you can see the model is not adhering well to supports. This is the first time I've used an opaque resin and also the first time I've had any problems like this - any ideas please? By comparison in the last pic, how it should have turned out.

First of all thanks to the members of this group, increasing the base layer exposure from 90sec to 110 sec solved my adhesion issues!

Next question - how strong is this resin? This is a replacement knob for a heater - Will it stand uo to normal use or should I make a silicone mold and cast in a stronger material?

Also, I learned a new lesson. My printer leaves a line if I pause a print to peek at it. I just need to be more patient!

Ok so got the Photon last week and got setup and printing at the weekend with the supplied translucent green anycubic resin. Test torture cube, perfect !. Started test printing a couple of figures that i currently print on my FDM`s and sell. These came out very well apart from what appears to be a bit zwobble which ive sort of solved to an extent.
However, i then swapped to a different resin which is a much thinner consistency and printed the same figure. I now get some of the supports not staying attached and causing a little misprint on the figure which is around the arm and elbow.
Ive shown them in the photos and was looking for what maybe the issue. Im aware that it will most likely be the thinner resin needing different settings. Would you agree with me? Also i think im gonna try and do the resin calibration test later today see what clues it may give me.

I am also aware that i am using very few and very thin supports, but it printed fine with the anycubic resin.

Anyway would appreciate any thoughts or tips.

Anyone here have any experience with Formware 3D? (slicer program) I'm on a 30 day trial right now and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed so far with the features!
