Just a heads up on ChiTuBox v2. It has a bad habit of putting its supports above the build plate. About 1 mm offset. It does show that it did it in the view of the object. If you look closely from the side you will see the base of the supports is above the xy plane. I have also confirmed that after slicing the print really does start after the build plate is 1mm above the screen. It does not happen for some settings but I don't know what triggers the error yet. The object I tested it on didn't have a problem with supports until I turned it to a 45 degree angle and did ran the auto supports to platform.

Important: When changing your FEP film check for protection layers and remove one sticky film on each side of the new FEP if it has them.

Your new FEP may have these layers or not depending on batches they send out, so check carefully.

FEP-Test: Take your filled vat, pour the resin into another container, put the vat tilted like stand it on the long side, watch the residue resin flow out.
FEP film = will almost leave no drops, only a few, behind, vat bottom is clear within 5-8Minutes.
Protective layer = drops form and stay on the film, resin hardly flows down, still in there after 10-25Minutes, resin film stays behind.

There instructions on the back of the packing, of the original anycubic replacement, is short and misses a vital point.
Although I expected that there is some sort of cover, it was impossible to split layers. As the new FEP sheet came packed inside a soft sleeve wrapper I thought I am good to go and installed it.

Well there is a protection layer on the FEP, on both sides. So make sure you split your new film into three layers and remove the outer ones, see the videos.

I printed 500 layers on the protection sheet until everything stuck to the vat, now i removed the protection layers and remounted the fep.

Check the fep tension on delivery, you may need to tighten the screws on the bottom of the vat if they got too loose due to transportation.

FEP tension (use any music tune app):
Sweet spot as per Sen Kun is around 250-375Hz.

Anyone else like printing supports with no model attached? Lol. Driving me crazy now. Done the photonsters test and it's saying 10s layer time. I set it to 11 as it looked a little bit off. Brand new fep. Thickest supports. This batch of resin isn't the same as the previous anycubic green I've used. It can't be the same resin at all

Eureka.......awesome.... splendid.....first 3D print ever. COULDN’T DONE IT WITHOUT YOU GUYS.

These are 8 gratings 2mm dept, 64 holes, all the way trough. 2 small gratings 2mm dept, 8 holes all the way trough. All gratings are double curved. Also 2 other parts all the details on it.

It's all about the prep guy's....reading the post's on this wonderful page.......used the search option a lot.......took my time to level and set everything up.....looked at the geometry and angled the parts accordingly......added supports manually.

The settings were 0.03, 8.5, 1.5, 40, 8, anycubic green.

I’ve been having some issues with printing a custom 20 sided dice. I’ve tried several orientations but the photon slicer program keeps defaulting the placement of the model back to 2mm(z axis) or so from the build plate. I’ve tried several time to place the model 4mm in height, however the default height keeps happening. Any ideas?

I've printed several times, I'm using the anycubic slicer and I wanted to add a new stl structure to a previous project, but I haven't been able to edit the project and add another structure.

Does it have a solution? Do you recommed to use another program? Any recommendations?
