Opinions? I've taken out the photon for some rapid prototyping and it seems I'm getting some compression artifacts in my models.

Also, the raft was set at .75mm, and it came out at approx 3mm... which in turn almost set the model in the raft.

I'm up for constructive criticism.

I'm running the comparison to check the overall quality of print on both machines for organic modelling

Had some problems with the Photon anonymous resin, washed it with water and dishwaser and it stained ugly :( Still good enough to check the print quality

Hey All, SO I am curious, in the ChiTuBox if you set up the generic profile like the Photon you get access to all the other bits, like g-code, and anti-aliasing. Has anyone tried to slice a file and print it? I created a model a 1cm sphere (hollow) and sliced it at .04mm. It created a file that was 125 mb, I threw it in the validator, and then saved it out, and it was 16 mb... I did print the sphere, and it looks awesome, I can not see any lines at all... (no photo as I do not have a camera that can do macro like that) I need to try in on an actual model... I would be curious if anyone else has tried this.

Well I just made the leap and purchased a Photon. Now I just need to wait for my packet of light to arrive and I can get waist deep in this world of actual 3d printing as opposed to just designing.

Hey all! I just finished replacing my LCD and glass, and got about three finished prints in when I ran into an odd issue I can't find any information on. When I go to move the plate, the column that turns seems to just vibrate instead of moving the plate along the z-axis. I'm pretty frustrated, considering I just spent the money to replace the LCD and glass. What are my steps (haha, get it?) from here?

I'd love to start trying chitubox, but I don't see any 3d models when I open the program, just an empty grey space. My graphics card driver, a 980ti, is up to date.
