2nd print came out perfect with following the advice from Sen Kun .

It's a 40mm wargames base.

Settings used:
- 0.02mm layer thickness
- green Anycubic resin
- 7.5 seconds ecposure
- 1.5 deconds off time
- 10 base layers
- 60 seconds exposure for base layers
- tilted y-axis 20 degree
- tilted x-axis 5 degree
- supports middle

Did some improvements on my Photon:
- added special uv-protecting foil
- made a lid for the VAT
- grinded the outlet on the VAT to have a sharp edge to prevent when pouring resin back in the canister to flow over the VAT
- changed the balljoint fixing to a standard 8.8 M6x20mm inbussscrew. Now can use a size bigger hex and apply more force. In case the hex gets damaged easy to remove and replace.

Is there any difference between the coloured resins from anycubic? Which works best for you?

Wanted to showcase my would-be Adult Red Dragon courtesy of Miguel Zavala. Unfortunately either I missed a support or my printer hated its right hand. You can kind of see that it flattened somewhat.
Not going to consider it a loss anyway, too much resin used to just throw it away. I'm considering reprinting the hand and chop the flattened one. Not sure If I'll l manage a clean cut and paste.

It's been a rough day with a few printing failures, but my record since getting the photon is this: 1 successful test cube then 3 successful prints when I had time to set them up without distraction, and 3 failed prints while I was wrangling a toddler during setup. I think I can see the problem!

The latest success is wonderful, I know the Photon excels in organic shapes, but I needed a more engineered part, very large, thin walled but almost filled the plate and build height. Well it came out beautifully! Removed supports before cleaning which I discovered was much easier than after as they bend nicely :) , used IPA pour/spray and wipe, didn't wash, left to air dry then cured in the sun. Used settings from the Google docs file at 0.05 layer height. Can't show the full thing sadly but you can see how nice and straight everything is :)

Really happy with this one. Trouble is, I need two and with all the failures today my green resin is running out. I have black and white Anycubic resins here, if I have to top it up during the print which would you put your money on for success?

FTR no toddlers were exposed to anything harmful, I just couldn't give the Photon my full attention and that messed things up - the last fail was down to my only tightening one side of the resin vat down, doh!

here's two prints red one printed on the asiga the green on the b9core I like to post process my prints to remove 'lines' before casting..the back of the red pendant I filled in part of the dips from the supports with hard jewelers wax and filed flat

Just my own thoughts, ... If wanhao, also a Chinese, brand has reached a good B2B agreement with them. Why couldn’t do it Anycubic?

On the uv detection I am getting a solid recentangle which doesnt match the image on screen. Any ideas? Had 2 failed prints over last day, just checked this and seems odd.
