Ladies and gentlemen. I found the culprit for my failed prints, (pictures of failures in comments. It was the FEP. Too damaged in a very specific spot.

Now I’m interested in why I’m getting islands on my print. (See photos below)

They come right off after, but I’d rather them not be there at all. Had to clean the vat, few pieces of residue.

Any ideas?

Hi Guys,
I recently got my Photon and tried my first print. It looks like it started printing correctly (you can see the support structure) then it just proceeded to print a solid brick of resin.

I ran the machine with no vat in and it seems to get about 45mins into a file and then the LCD stops displaying correctly, the left side (when looking from the front) no longer masks light correctly.

Is this a faulty screen? Any other suggestions before I contact the vendor for a refund / return or replacement?

It is running the latest firmware version. Also after a restart the UV detection displays correctly, but after the failed print and test runs, when I run a uv detection it also doesn't display the left side of the screen correctly.

A lot of peoples asked me when the Flex resin from Monocure 3d will be available soooo today's the big day, Monocure just released it also they released the PLATEBOND i use this product for a while now and did not had to sand my build plate because with this, the bottom layers now stick like glue to the plate, before printing just pour 3 little drops on the plate and smear it around to create a very thin layer. You can get them from the web site. Happy flex printing !!!

are there other slicers for the photon?, i am positive half the issues with this thing is the slicer. I printed this model on the phrozen and photon at same time, same Z slice and same resin. On the photon all i had after completion was base and supports, the ring was missing completely. given both machine have same XY, i cant see how all the parameters being the same the photon should have failed other than the software end of this in the slicer is somehow different?

Will try compress the stl enough to drop off in the files section in a minute. maybe i just having dodginess again. supported in my own software so ill supply the support structure separately in case other decide my method not the best

Trouble shooters take a look at this fail please, why am I getting resin exposed on the FEP? Why is my FEP blistering and will it effect print quality? On the print; why are the diagonal layer lines showing please, this print also had an exposed resin film that I had to get off the FEP after the print.
