Hi,

I found this hole in the printed body. It looks like a defect pixel on the display, but I need to check the FEP.

Does anybody has the same phenomenon, too?

Can I check the display on blind pixel only with the square during the test?

Occurs to me a simple workaround with my PC issue. Are there any other free slicers people use with the Photon other than their's?

Hi guys, thanks for the group accept. While waiting for my Photon to be delivered (SO EXCITED!), I've decided to prepare an old sculpt for printing, an Azmodan fan art. My main concern at the moment is the tiny spines in his chest and belly and teeth. I'm not sure if I should print those separately and glue them later. Also not sure how to break him up overall. I have no prior experience with printing so any advice is welcome. I'm planning to print him 7" high. Cheers.

Has anyone tried to run large prints like this and after a layer or so the printer resets? can anyone help?

Aaah! Now I see why I need the bottle cap! For all the other newbies that may be puzzled about that :)

Downloaded the software to my computer, why is the option to build support Pieces greyed out? I have STL that need them. Downloaded the software to my computer, why is the option to build support Pieces greyed out? I have STL that need them. 翻譯年糕

Hi everyone,
So I've given up on the multi-part prints for now because every 2 in 3 parts on the plate failed in various ways(not sticking, supports detaching etc).

So I printed this calicat to test basic calibration and noticed some later shifting near the top of the head and some visible banding. I assume that the banding and the layer shift is a result of the plate not coming back down in exactly the same spot after? Question is how to solve it? I was thinking maybe giving the part a bit more of a rub would help with banding and as for the layer shift, maybe it's unlucky but perhaps supporting the top of that ball screw would help? Or is there a reason it's not supported at the top on the Photon?

One other thing I noted, the sharp edges have a lighter tone to them, why is that and can it be fixed?

Any insight or assistance is appreciated ?

Thanks

At what size should I start using the State for a raft? The Anycubic Photon test box uses a round disc and it larger than an inch. Currently am am attempting to print the 3DSLA.RU's SLA test box and I'm running into a lot off issues with it popping off the plate and adhering to the FEP. I am using the default settings when generating the Raft skate.

Exposure settings are in the image, but I'll list them here.
Layer-thickness: 0.04
Nomal Exp: 10
Off time : Off time: 6.5
Bottom Exp: 100
Bottom layers: 8

Tried the Monocure Rapid Green today. Its not on the spreadsheet so I figured I'd leave the settings the same as I had for the Anycubic green* and see what happens.

I was delighted to see how easy it was to peel the prints off the bed, until I realized why... 75% of the light supports had broken off, and 2 of the 3 prints had failed as a result. The third, which had medium supports, printed nearly perfectly however.

They are definitely noticeably softer than my earlier prints, and its night time so I'll have to wait to cure them tomorrow but they are definitely more opaque. I'm not sure where to go from here, up the cure time and go back to having to use a 4 foot pry bar to get the prints off, or start using medium supports all the time, which I don't really like.

*(Layer: 0.03mm, Exposure 10s, off time 1s, bottom exposure 45s, Bottom layers: 8)
