It was sitting pretty for me when I got back to my shop at almost 2 am this morning. Cleaned it up a little and then called it a day. Looks ok so far.

Hello,

Anycubic is sending me a new screen, to hopefully fix the flickering issue. Now I want to prepare for that and remove the current screen. But what is the best way to remove the glass without damaging it? Is it the same as from a smartphone, with a heatgun?

Question. I have been FDM printing for nearly 5 years. Had my Photon for around two weeks. I've done plenty of reading and research but I still fail to figure out the suction and filling problem.

If you print a hollow model with an opening at the bottom (top of the print bed from our perspective) I keep reading that it will fill up with resin during printing. How is this possible when for most of the print it is printing an open ring?

I can see a perfectly flat cylinder printing a sudden closure and trapping some small amount inside, but most organic shapes will taper to an eventual close which should not trap much resin inside.

Am I missing something?

Hello there! I'm about to take the plunge and I'd like some feedback from you fine folks. What would be a good resin for a complete printing noob. FTD, anycubic? I plan on using the printer in the garage/sellar so, smell might be a bit more dificult to get rid of. What resin would you advise in this case?
The plan is to print small detailed parts, mainly for 6mm wargaming. Think I might regret it (for this propose)?
Thanks!

Is anyone having issues with Z axis vibration? I've lubricated the threaded rod and it's made things quieter but there still seems to be a little bit of vibration which is showing in the prints. Anything I should check or tighten?

Thus far, I’ve been on a great print run since getting the Anycubic this past Friday. I have a couple of questions for the group however, mainly things I just want to confirm. After watching a couple dozen videos and flipping through all of the great comments here, I’m still left pondering a few things. There probably needs to be a FAQ somewhere.... or if there is I missed it. (My apologies in this case.)

1. Is it necessary to relevel after every print?
2. Do I need to restrain the resin in the tank after every print?
3. Can the build platform get submerged in alcohol for cleaning? (Up to the point where it connects to the main screw)
4. Should I only wipe out the resin tank with tissues? …and should I wipe it out with alcohol as well?
5. After I take the print from the build plate, wash it in alcohol, (and clip whatever supports), I cure the print and bada boom, its all good. Right?
6. Finally, when it doubt, rub it with alcohol and it should dilute any uncured resin. Correct?

Thanks! I appreciate all of the help and comments in the group. It has really made this 3D printing experiment of mine go well.
