someone from (i think) this group posted a pic a while back of their print of a hybrid Thing from John Carpenter's Thing and Dr. Seuss' Thing 1&2. does anyone know where i can find that model?

I have a resin opacity question:

It seems to me that with opaque resins, the light should scatter more off of the dye particles, resulting in some surface roughness or fuzziness at the edges of the UV image (as seen through the resin). Does this result in a degradation of the prints' resolution? Do finer details appear on translucent resin prints more so than opaque ones? Does anyone have a link to an article that does a side-by-side?

mixing food coloring with uv sensitive resin is pretty common in crafts, but has anyone tried it for DLP printing? is this just a horrible idea?

question regarding updating firmware for AA support: the anycubic youtube video describing the process says to recalibrate the printer after updating the firmware. can someone explain why that is necessary? the only calibration i'm aware of is the physical position of the build-plate... which shouldn't change just because the firmware changed.

also, has anyone here done this upgrade and how were your prints afterward?

what is the failure mode that typically indicates a need to replace the FEP? i haven't replaced mine yet, but i'm hoping it doesn't come down to "oh well now the resin is leaking onto the LCD, time to replace the FEP!"

does this printer just wreck USB sticks? after using the included one about 8 times, it started to develop errors on the drive that windows had to repair. so instead of risking using it further, i just swapped to a known good one that i've used for years. about 8 or 9 prints later and it, too, is now reporting errors in windows.

how often should i change out the IPA i use to rinse my prints? i'm keeping a sealed tupperware of rinsing IPA near the printer, and i've used it 3-4 times now. the IPA is turning more and more green, but i don't really want to waste it and throw it out (or rather, let it evaporate) if it can still do the job of cleaning for some time yet.
