So, I've run into a problem I don't think has been brought up yet in this group (at least, not that I've seen). The plate that holds the ball into the build plate attachment (the bit with the big red screw handle), has come loose. The screws have popped out. It prevents a good, stable leveling. I attempted to tighten it down, but the screws feel stripped out somehow, and if I tighten the set screw to secure the ball and the build plate, it pops out and allow the build plate to move pretty freely. Has anyone else had this happen? What kind of recourse (hopefully besides buying a whole new build plate) is there?

So, people talk a lot of smack about 'wonky' supports. Here is an example of why it is not a bad idea, and works out a lot more than you might think. Simple mini from hero forge, with custom supports. Worked out so well the held lantern actually swings freely.

Back in action! After humiliatingly destroying an LCD for not taping the screen down (luckily I had a spare LCD for this reason), I bought a roll of kapton tape and whizz bang, it's beautiful. Tried printing a thing for someone who is paying me, and one side completely failed. Re-leveled, tried again. This time, I only let it go like 30 minutes until I checked, another failure. So, I've heard the kapton messes up leveling somewhat, so I'm trying the flint reed method. Followed directions as well as I can from the video, cleaned everything, triple checked my sliced file with the validator, poured resin, and we're off. Hopefully things work out better than the last time, I'm getting tired of not being able to print anything/everything, like I used to.

Just did my first LCD replacement. Word from the wise? Dont forget the double sided tape, or the kapton tape around the edges. Did a test print, things went lukewarm (3 models printed out of like 8), and when I was pulling the vat to pick out the cured bits, the lcd was sticking to the vat. Pulled a little hard, et voila, broken screen. I feel like this is some kind of record.

So, I need some help. There are huge holes in the model, and the end of one of the eye stalks is all warped and delaminated. I've gotta say, it is pretty frustrating. I checked the LCD, it is fine. The screen is clean, I just don't know what happened here.
Tightened the FEP to 330, leveled just fine, exposure should be good. The hole in the model is only at that point, it doesn't extend all the way through the model, and the delamination/skewing of the model doesn't make sense to me.

Has anyone had a problem with ChituBox glitching out when slicing? I've been having a particular problem with it because it will slice the print just fine, but when I look at it with the file validator, on many of the layers there is half the layer missing in a straight line. This creates something like 65,000 floating pixels on the next layers, often times with nothing on the last like 3-4 layers below them. This has tanked a couple of my prints, and I'm not 100% sure on how to fix it. I could go into the file validator, zoom in and fill in the gap, but that would take forever. Is there a fill option I don't know about in the validator? Is this a widespread glitch in Chitubox, or am I just lucky?
Will post a photo later on once I get a chance.
