Hello everyone! I stumbled across this from another 3d printing group when a post about the Anycubic went up. I currently own a Peopoly Moai SLA printer that ive been running for a little over a year. I also have 2 FDM printers, and am working with formlabs to get a refurbished Form2. When I started reading about the Anycubic Photon, it sparked my interest for 2 very specific projects I am working on... developing thermal isolation fixtures for small standalone heaters and other hardware components, and small kill switch mechanisms. Im currently printing these on the MOAI printer, but due to its cost to tie up the machine for these components, the Anycubic seems to possibly be a good fit. Im looking forward to sharing knowledge and input and hoping to learn a lot as I expect to purchase an Anycubic in the next month or 2!
A little background on me - Im a mechanical engineer from Pennsylvania. Ive been involved with projects spanning from individual single part design, to DIY prostheses, to 3000+ part assemblies in solidworks when working in the packaging industry, to mechanical system design in Revit for the construction industry, and recently been heavily involved in 2 industrial design projects in augmented reality and a portable fdm 3d printer. I began 3d printing in 2012, and in 2017 added my first SLA printer to the lineup and have been printing in SLA and FDM since then. I love everything 3d printing, and hope to contribute as much as I can to here!
