Do you guys throw away your supports? I was thinking of keeping them and using them to see how well paint looks on them

Why you need some? I end up with this...every week

Scott Pavlich just thought maybe I should give them out to people who ask me to print them stuff for free

Strew them across the floor better than lego at crippling home invaders!

You are sure that was enough support? ?

I keep the first few from a bottle for brittleness testing, to give an idea on how over time the resin changed of parts I make that I don’t want to stress.

I auto supported that base like a champ

Richard Rush

I’ve used supports as basing material for Titanicus.

If you can get the blending right, that would make a great fire that is maybe spreading across a floor

I have a bucket. No idea what I'm going to do with them yet

I have a box for all waste, filament or cured resin. Eventually it'll probably just be tossed. Originally hoped to recycle the filament at home but none of those devices are very well reviewed with waste.

They would probably have good acoustic properties if they were on the walls of a room

Peter Sandberg

Aren’t there any recycling centers?

Keith Yinger

yeah it would sure be nice if we could turn this stuff back into liquid resin again. I'd have a good couple of bottles of resin back from this support material that I've thrown away over time.

Looking to remove the box and just print the little man. Anyone know the best way to do this?

Use blender and remove the box. You might have a hole in his back from where the box was. Just have to model that back in or fill it in when it's printed.

Drop it in Meshmixer hit edit then see if it will let you separate shells. To see if they are just grouped meshes.

Microsoft 3d Builder is free with Windows 10. Or Tinkercad. Either one is simple and easy to use.

Meshmixer would let you do a "plane cut" and slice right along the bottom of that box if you can't see separate the meshes.
