Well my first attempt at a practical print didn't go as well as I hoped. Not sure how well it comes across but the flat bit at the bottom is meant to be gears. It's a replacement gear drive for the Nintendo 64 controllers.

I've got a pretty good idea about what went wrong though. It was either me putting more resin in on top of the older resin I used to print the formlabs test rook, which I didn't notice but seemed to have a film of cured resin along the bottom. Empty and clean the vat between every print, lesson learned. Or it was the fact that I printed them vertically, flat on the bed with no supports. I'm willing to bet it was a mix of the two.

Is there a best practice to printing small gears this size? I think the fifty micron layer height and screen resolution is fine, there seem to be a correct number of gear teeth and the sizing seems great compared to an actual gear, just a bunch of resin got cured between them by the looks of it.

It's a shame too because even with the resin being uncured it's sturdy enough to withstand the stresses put on it and a perfect fit for the joystick itself! Just 80% of the way there!

Hi guys
I know questions have been asked, but didnt work for me

Anycubic clear resin 100s/10s 8 bottom

Object turn yellowish
I wash with iso, 2minutes uv each side
I apply clear varnish to give back transparency , but its staying yellowish

Any ideas ? less expo maybe ?

After replacing the LCD my prints are bigger in the X&Y plane, so tilted prints come out skewed.

good afternoon all. I need to print a robot housing to close to original dimensions as possible. is there a way to work out expansion/ contraction of the resin? is there a general percentage that is off by? or does a slicer like Chitubox compensate?

Printon on Photon S at 21C, can print in grey or clear green.
