Printed out my first figure. Elegoo grey using the settings from the cheat sheet except 0.2 layer with 7 seconds exposure instead of 8. Everything went pretty well except for the base of the figure shifting. Everything is well supported so just random glitch? Or should I just up exposure a second?

Should I print these flat or on a raft? If I use a raft should i put the corner facing the bed or do it like the pic?

Chitubox is acting weird after my laptop updated. I tried to uninstall and reinstall to no avail. The screen is not refreshing. As I move items in Chitubx, it is drawing hundreds of pictures of each tiny step of the move. It is stuck on a setting to pre-load any files I have opened, so it is trying to load dozens into the screen. Any ideas?

Alright. I have been printing for a little bit(Like a month, hahaha), but only using the standard green anycubic resin. I finally trying out a different one, and I picked Elegoo grey. As I hear that is a very popular choice for minis.

I did look at the big document but only 1 person submitted and has it at 18 seconds. Seems super excessive vs my like 6.5-7 seconds I was using on green. So I wanted to run my own test.

This is the first time I have ran this test, and I'm wanting to make sure I am reading this right. It is the 50 micron one because that is what I print most my models at.

1. Is 7 my best then? So 14 second exposure?

2. Time off. What does that effect? How can I test for that?

3. This Elegoo grey seems way more tacky when i first remove it and even slightly brushing it when removing the supports seems to damage it. (this is before i put it in my curing oven, though even after that it seems a bit softer.

Thanks!!

Just completed my first (successful) print and am extremely happy with the results. However I'd like more detailed / sharper edges with future prints. Any tips on how? (Would it just be lessening exposure time / printing on an angle?) Thanks.

Okay so here is my issue. Siraya Blu always prints out with the side facing the build plate being warped and with bulges around where the supports are. I've tried printing with it tilted, it comes out bent. I've tried decreasing exposure, I get support failure. I've tried increasing exposure and I lose too much detail and the warping remains. These parts are still salvageable but only if I sand the warped side flat which takes more time. Suggestions? This was printed flat with supports underneath. Mostly medium supports with a few heavy mixed in since I printed solid.

So trashed build plate aside ? Here is an update to my post regarding Prusa Slicer supports. I went to 200% auto support generation which in all honesty isn’t less than what I usually hand place with ChituBox. New folks take note that these minis are printed leaning back at 45 degrees to reduce suction forces while printing. You can see it works fine in this arrangement. I do like this software. ?
