Hey, i'm an idiot and I'm using this for reference. Can anyone tell me the units of measure for the Layer ht? My assumption is that 0,020 = .20mm. I just want to be sure before doing my first print.

What causes the side of a model facing the build plate to be all melty? I was pretty sure I had enough supports. A lot of the detail was lost. So maybe not.

So this is some results after understanding Greg Kourakos Videos regarding supports for minis - really solid stuff, basically my test was to avoid surface supports and wire in from the plate. Phrozen XL sculpted in Oculus Medium.

It is a test so there is fails in parts and some small tuning will yield amazing results. ?

Oh and any tearaways are from removing from the bed - Phrozen Grey, 0.050 layer.

Some questions
I printed my third Print
This time i use anycubic black

1.
I printed in that Angle.
Why do i have bumps coming Out on the flat surface? How can i avoid that ? More Support ? Or Higher exposure?

2.
There is one printed Layer which is "White" why?

3. I have all over surface White Points or something Like that. Why that ?

Sorry if I'm taking up bandwidth here, but I want to know if this is common among more symmetrical prints.

So, it's not just big models. The pod suffers from the same distortion. X is 26 mm and z is 24.3 mm. I'm holding it at the angle it was printed.

Both models show about a 6% shrinkage in the z axis. I say z because the pod looks short when looking across the y axis as well.

I'll test by adding 6% to the z on a reprint of the pod and see if it comes out better.

First proper print, engines for Serenity from firefly, but what's that wave effect on the right hand side? Both printed together but seems worse on one. Z axis wobble? Need to print again anyway in a different resin, this was just a test to see if the supports worked. They kinda did but room for improvement definitely.

Inching closer now!
One day this display of the Boing X-20 Dyna-soar and the Titan II stack that would have carried this 1950's/60's proposed manned-winged orbiter in to near space in Earth orbit will be finished.
This is completely digitally designed and printed by me here in Dubuque Iowa.
While honestly I have been building the model in 3d for about 10 years its only the recant 2 that have trasfered it into fruition!
Here I'm just toying around with the base to see if I liked it none of the parts are actually assembled and the boosters hug the core with neodymium magnets.
