Hey guys - I have a Photon-S and I suspect the software is totally borking my prints. The supports I place are printing out very well except for a few near the center of the build where it straight up turns into a solid pillar - Which ruins the mini in question. I've moved it across the build plate and it always ends up the same (also cycled power). Unfortunately due to it being a Photon-S, the filetypes are different and there is a limited selection of software available to figure out WTF is going on. Has anyone else had similar problems before?

Could somebody help me with FunToDo Castable Blend NXT GEN resin? I am trying to cast a 925 silver ring for my wife. The model prints ok, but I have failed casts. I am not a jeweler, and there are no jewelers expirienced with such resins around. I found a jeweler who tried do the cast for me but without any luck. He tried the standard burnout, a very long burnout on 780C. I tried to print the model with very thin walls to minimize amount of resin for burning, but it makes no difference at all. Any tricks for that FunToDo Castable resin? I can ask to burn at a really high temperature (900C). Can it help?

Can someone tell me if this is z-wobble or something else, please. Also do the 4 screws that hold the lead screw nut have to be tight or loose? I know on FDM printers it has to be loose but not sure on resin printers.

Yesterday I pulled the plug and ordered the Photon.

From what I've read on this site I'll need the following.

1. Lots of paper towels
2. IPA 90+%
3. Side Cutters
4. UV Source for curing
5. Gloves
6. Respirator
7. Clear Level work space

Is there a definitive list of item and or software to acquire in advance? I have Solidworks ($20.00 if your a Veteran) and Alibre CAD/CAM.

I plan on making some prototype parts for this keep-it-klean.net. I have most of the parts already completed just some of the smaller parts will need some slight mods.

Suggestions?
