I feel like the old slicer gave better auto supports. Anyone else get supports like this on the Photon Workshop 2.0.23 slicer?

Also I noticed if I right click on an object the text is missing in the menu? Anyone else have this issue?

So, I plan to buy some Monocure Rapid Flex 100, and I'm hoping this group has some prior experience in mixing it with harder resin to create a strong but still fairly rigid part. I imagine a 1:4 (flex:regular) would yield a good result, but if any if you have experimented with ratios and can share your results, that would be super helpful. Thanks in advance ?

Edit: The part(s) I need to print are here:

Kozi Modelworks is very happy! Photon's benchmark passed, and level of detail is awesome. That's bottle crate in 1/35, modelled in Blender, printed with Anycubic's resin. Great stuff.

Updating firmware - I tried to update mine today to .18 which had been put on photosters. So you out the two update files on the root of the USB and then power it on, the Photon will make a few beeps which means it updated. Then you’re supposed to print the other file - how come my printer doesn’t see the file? I’ve checked .18 and .19 and they contain the same type of files? My printer does say it’s now on .18 but concerned I need to print another file?

Is there a recommended limit on ambient temperature for resin and photon operation. I had planned to use my new Photon in the garage but am concerned about Sacramento August temps that run 85-105 F. 30-40C.

I bought an cabinet set up and a carbon filter/fan to limit the toxic fumes prior to my first print. (Wife and two small toddlers).

I need some advice. My thinking was to have the fan positioned in the section with the printer then blowing into the carbon filter in the yellow section.

Would it be better to have the fan suck in air through the carbon filter and extract that air out?

The printer cabinet will be lined so when the doors are shut it will be air tight as much as possible.
I have looked into the attachment for the printer to connect the pipework but I figure that the printer cabinet can hold any resin contaminated material and as such I decided that it would be better to have the whole section ventilated.

I do have the option of venting outside but this is positioned in the loft and as such the window will be tricky to get watertight as it's a roof window which is tilted in the middle.
Also we most likely will moving and I would like to find a solution which is self contained as much as possible.

Any advice would be appreciated before I go cutting 4 inch holes into the sections.

Quick question regarding things like flat surfaces and suction - I'm currently trying to print a tank STL. Now I'm aware, as this is one of the early ones I did, that I'm trying to do this in a less than optimal way - I know my best bet for the hull would be to angle it and avoid the need for faffing with hollows and drain holes entirely.

What I'm hoping I can get an opinion on is whether I'm likely to be able to compensate for both the hollowness and also the suction from the bottom of the vehicle by using holes as I have, and whether there's anything else I'm doing obviously wrong, besides the lack of angling the hull.

If need be I'll start from scratch. I also know I've also certainly gone overboard on the drain holes!

The settings would be:

0.02 layer height

8 bottom layer count

7.5s exposure

70s bottom exposure

Cheers!
