I need help!
Another model didn't print well. What could be the problem? Printed by Photon S, Anycubic Aqua Blue resin (with little touch od transparent green), 8 sec exposure, 1 sec off, no angle of print, mainly auto-supported by Chitubox, hollowed. Model is M3 tank in 28mm scale.

1) Supported bottom isn't straight and has major defect on one side. My platform isn't leveled properly?

2) Details aren't crisp, mainly rivets and hatches. Overexposure, not leveled or wrong angle?

Whilst technically not a photon related query, I thought you ladies and gents would be able to offer me some advice here.

Painting.

I've never painted a mini before.
We have a load of GW minis downstairs, but I never wanted to paint them because they're pricey, and when I invariably mess up, it will be replaced at however much GW currently charge for that model, if they even still do!

But, since I can print them now, I have no fear of messing up a paint job.

I've been looking into it, and hoping to go into town to pick up some supplies this week whilst I'm off work.

Now to my query...
Airbrushing.
A lot of people have been raving about how quick you can do a load of minis with an airbrush.
Personally I feel as though I should learn to walk before I try to run, so should learn to paint minis with a paintbrush first.
Am I right? Should I "git gud" with a paintbrush before shelling out for an airbrush? Or should I just dive straight in at the deep end?

A little tip for the noobs

Tighten your FEP sheet after the first couple of prints.

I was having adhesion problems and it was all solved by just tightening the screws holding the FEP.

I'm sure someone posted the suggestion, but it should be the first thing to try before messing with the settings.

I gotta strange problem. I've got prints that are several independent pieces and only some of them are failing to adhere to the build plate. I'm using Elegoo Maroon and It's got 8 base layers with 100 sec burn time (on those layers). The models that do successfully print are flawless but I'm totally bamboozled by this kind of failure.

Hey guys

Okay so I tried my hand at 3d printing and I'm calling it a partial success - in that 'something' was printed and it is in 3d.

Beyond that, abject failure.

So I have two questions, as a mate of mine bought a photon as well and had essentially the exact same problem which to me, makes it less likely to be printer error and highly like us being inexperienced.

For my part I did the leveling until I could feel the paper resisting under the plate. I think I may have done it too lightly and not formed a tight seal for the base.

I used the out of the box settings besides that. Had to use the plastic spatula to very, very gingerly pry it off the FEP film (looks perfectly undamaged).

Any tips besides the re-levelling?

Also for people in the UK - what UV light have you got for curing? I need to get one otherwise I'll be stuck printing only on sat and sun mornings.

Question, So I just ran the Photon Resin calibration test using Siraya Blu @ 50u. It printed the rectangle but no Graphics are visible on it. I have run the same test before using Anycubic Green with no problem. any ideas? P.S. The file was displaying the Graphics on the front screen correctly during the print.
