Just a quick post on the alternative process for resin slicing. As you might have seen, people are using PrusaSlicer 2.0 to add their supports (I also use it to scale and orient my models). Then use 'File/Export/Export plate as STL including supports' menu item to save the result. Pull this into ChiTuBox and just arrange on the build plate. I've done about 4 print jobs this way on my Anycubic Photon and I've had very nice results. It seems like the Prusa Slicer is a bit better at automatically setting up supports. I've attached my profile ini file from PrusaSlicer. Only the support settings matter, so ignore the layer height, .etc.

Noob here, I have been using my photon for about a week now. I recently tried printing on a 45 degree angle to get some etched wording on the bottom of this pendant prototype. When it prints on the angle I get this odd wavy texture compared when I print flat. Any help on either getting etched words to print on the bottom when printing flat or how to avoid wavy look when printing on angle would be appreciated!

Hi guys in new to the photon but not 3d printing (fdm)

The main issue I'm having is x & y dimensional accuracy all faces are 0.1mm larger apparently this is a known issue at the moment, i am compensating with the stl file but threads are a nightmare of course...

I know there has been attempts to make simple applications to fix this but they don't work or can cause damage ?

The main way of fixing this by looks of things would be trimming every exposure by a pixel on all "faces"

This may have been answered before,

But I'm sitting here waiting an AGE for this slicer to complete so I thought I have the time so why not ask the question.

What is the slicer using to slice?

is it using the Processor or the Graphics card?

I'm on a fairly old Mac Pro, but it's still got an incredibly powerful processor in it, but the graphics card in this machine is really terrible.

Should i be slicing with my PC which has a much more powerful GPU?

Or is the slicer just not fast and I have to deal with it.

I use Cura 4.1 for slicing FDM prints and it whizzes through in literally seconds, even on prints that are 24 hours plus it slices in a couple of minutes.

I estimate the print in the attached screenshot will take around 4 hours to print, and so far it's taken 45 minutes just to slice... it's infuriating!

***EDIT***
Can't get Chitubox to work on my mac, it loads but then screen goes crazy!

Thanks for the add, wanted to share my temp fix for m_11800 memory error. Just bought this thing on Sunday and already having issue. Amazon is sending me another one because I shouldn’t have to purchase a new cable ( I prob will on the next one) to get this sucker to work. They gave me till Sept 6 to return this one. Lol ?

Hi Everyone.
Im experimenting with printing hard molds for silicone casting, for Stop Motion. To make detailed hands.
Similar to attached mould from Paulo Apodaca.
Alas, the silicone reacts with the Resin. Does anyone have experience with using special resin or silicone for this?
I need the silicone to be very soft. We like Smooth-On's Dragon Skin. But it is a diva.
