Can you add things into the resin (mica powder, pearlescent powders, etc) and still have the print come out? I’ve been curious but I don’t want to just dump a bunch of stuff into my vat.

Hi I just elegoo grey resin and I cant seem to get it to print correctly. I dont know what I am going wrong. Also I cant find .02 cure setting for it. I need the highest level of detail than I can get.

I’m new, and will happily go read resources if needed, but I couldn’t find anything specific for this.

I’m only on my second model - after taking it off the build plate, I drop it in an IPA tub and swirl it around for a good ten or so minutes.

Lacking a UV curing system, im leaving it outdoors on my porch to cure. Today is an overcast damp day in New England, so I expect it’ll take longer to cure.

How do I tell? It seems a simple question - but how do I know when the model is cured? Dry to the touch? Does the opacity change? I have noticed they go from a nice gloss translucent to a more opaque (using the resin supplies with the printer).

He's no Buster Scruggs, but he's cool as hell. I normally hate guns in my fantasy, but of course a "black powder" Dwarf is always the exception. Also, I backed a 3d printer Kickstarter (my first ever KS before I even owned a 3d printer) called BattleFX, which is all sci-fi muzzle flashes, explosions, smoke et cet. So since I don't play any sci-fi, for 9 months I have been looking for an excuse (or the proper place) to finally print and use some effects. Smoke and a muzzle flash seemed perfect for this model! I'm hoping it doesn't look dumb painted, I'm posting my WIP (about half-way done) for some comments/suggestions for improvement... Curious - Has anyone tried PCB etching using their Photon? I know it'll work, but I'd love to hear if anyone's done it, and what they used their PCB's for.

I'm thinking that I might end up building boards + housings for them with the printer.
