Anycubic Photon just came in today. First print of the included demo was a failed to adhere to building plate bust. Cleaned up, swept the resin vat for bits, reset the Z=0 slightly tighter (had to pull the paper to move it versus just feeling resistance.

Next print much shorter so I can monitor, increased bottom layers to 10 with a exposure of 80 seconds versus 50, increased the per later by 2 seconds and the settle in-between by 1.

Any other feedback on how to address?

I need a straight answer on this (cause I have asked before and can never seem to get one). Will the EPAX firmware 4.2.18 work on the standard photon yes or no? And if so can it be reverted back to Anycubic firmware at a later date? I need to get rid of the frame shearing that keeps cropping up.

My 1st and only print with my photon printer, used the resin it came with, skipped the cube test print, it has a little minor part that messed up but that's because I ran out of resin and I went to sleep and didn't check it but over all I think it's still amazing

I've never really had a failed print but I have now... why? I litterally printed this file yesterday perfectly.

PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks everyone!!

So I created this component for a 1/32 scale model in Autodesk Inventor, saved it as a .stl but cannot load it in the Photon (S) WorkShop. My PC display says its "loading" but then nothing appears in the build box. What am I doing wrong? Is it the level of detail that WorkShop can't resolve? ?

Printing die and what I have learnt / have issues with...

SO I know you guys have some issues with this too.. Warping being one of them however when I printed on the be I got 0 warp.... But the face that was on the bed was over exposed and was flat with no numbers..

Once this other print is done I'll test a flat to bed low exposure time...

Update 2: The test run in the dark came out fine, so it looks like the fluorescent lights in the room were causing the resin to cure in the vat. Thanks everyone!

I keep finding these big chunks of resin in the vat after my prints. Is that normal? My prints have been coming out fine.

This was my last print along with the big chunks left in the vat. I ran my resin through a filter before running this print so I'm sure the chunks weren't in the vat before I started.

Update 1: Running another test now with the lights off - I tested the resin against the fluorescent lights and it partially hardened the resin so that may have been the issue. I may have trusted the orange acrylic more than I should have.

Raynor (hots) from carbot animations. I know it looks kinda whack but I'm just learning to sculpt in VR. Really fun and different kind of experience :D Will make some more adjustments and off to printer :D
