Hey guys! I'm looking to have this part produced for a resin casting blank. Anyone capable of producing a smooth molding master part want to give it a shot?

Hey guys, new Photon owner here. I leveled the printer and did the test cube print and it came out flawlessly on the first go. Did another small print (half the size of a dime) of the 'Bearded Yell' model, which also came out very nicely, very surprised at the level of detail. I figured at this point I could now start printing some cooler things like some DnD minis. My first attempt failed and the first few layers stuck to the film at the bottom of the resin tray. I looked online for reasons this can happen and the most common reason I saw (other than leveling) was to reduce the amount of large flat areas due to suctions issues. I took the rafts off the supports I had, which left only the bottom of the mini (no base on it so its feet and 2 swords) and the feet of the supports on the plate.I emptied the resin tray and filtered it, cleaned the tray and the film, cleaned the LCD screen, and reattempted with the new file. This time the main part of the mini ended up stuck on the bottom (some of it wasn't stuck and it was a slimy/bendy mess) but the supports I had set up had stayed adhered to the plate. Are there other reasons or steps I need to take to get this prints to work? I see people saying to print on an angle. Does that mean to get successful prints, I need to avoid large flat areas on the build plate? The default cube file has the large circular base on it but that one came out just fine. I have read that once the plate is leveled you won't need to do it again for a while if at all. I am searching for answers on here and Reddit and elsewhere online, but can't see to come across a straight answer. Do I just need to make exposure time for the bottom layers super long? Using default settings and the included green Anycubic resin. Any help is appreciated.

Anyone has experience on printing Anycubic maroon? Attempted few times, still nothing comes out... I did try with Anycubic grey and their green one, they both works great. Could anyone share your setting? I have tried the one on the google sheet, but still failed. The latest one I have tried is 0.05mm height, 8bottom layer, 16s exposure time, 60s bottom exposure time. Thanks:)

What is the best "peel and retract" speeds with the new firmware update? What is too fast and what is too slow?

First off this is my fourth attempt. Doing pretty good. But for some reason only one of the three work. They were all the same. Any guesses?

Running into an issue with a stl and Chitubox (using v1.5.0)

When importing, the stl acts as if most of the normals are facing inwards and only one part is correct.

However when checking on the normals in blender, they are all facing the correct direction (in the screenshot, the blue lines show direction of the normals)

I tried flipping normals just to see what would happen and there was no change.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

2 more perfect prints! Was afraid for a sec, i mixed some elegoo white with anicubic green to make it opaque and see the details better worked fine in the end. Upped exposure to 14 sec... i never have emptied the vat. Just add more resin... always print 5mm of the build plate at an angle. 0.15 depth on supports ,medium, auto , and a little manual cleanup.. i did hover around here and elsewhere for a long while before buying and read alot, and all the good help from here.. everyone should do the same imo... before buying... i did the same before my first xyz printer and while everyone else hated them and freaked out i had 2 more plus an ender 3... no problems...even got the Buccaneer ...lol.. hope this helps some newbies...

so, ive watched the videos on replacing the LCD screen, and i think i am pretty good with that part. MY question to the group is "how much force should i use to try and pry the glass cover from the chassis?" I am so afraid i am going to break this cover that i am reluctant to pry it too much. It seem good and stuck. It doesnt just "come off" like the videos show.

I wanted to see how transparent the elegoo “translucent” could get so I sandwiched it between two pieces of glass and cured it in the sun for 30 seconds.

Thought it was cool and had to share haha

I waited for quite a while before finally buying a photon. It came last Sunday and I finally have time to do the first test print. Leveled, loaded, and can't wait to see the sample cube print!
