Thanks for the add. Just ordered my first Photon. Looking forward to learning new things. Have had a couple of Ender 3s for a while now which have been great but as a painter of models I've being looking enviously at the results in resin.

Anyone here know anything about the Anycubic Chiron?

It is not a resin printer, but I've been impressed so far with the photon. Prime day has a decent sale on it so I am kind of wanting to test the waters. The Photon was my first printer, and I want something to print large terrain pieces.

Hey guys, I really need your help, I am a 3d artist but newbie to the resin 3d printing world, I was trying to print some of my characters, but noticed that on some surfaces that are flat there is resin bulking up or something making the surfaces round, on other cases like on cylindrical joints they are no cylindrical they deform. My question is, is this because of the orientation of the pieces?, or my print settings maybe?, I am using the anycubic gray resin, I will share here my settings and pictures of the prints.I was trying to orientate them so that I have to remove as little suports as possible so the surface stays clean but it did not work well, the one where the flat surfaces came perfect had a lot of supports and the surface is not so clean after removing them this is why I tried printing them flat. I would really appreiate your help :-) , and if you can share tutorials on how to best orientate prints or finde the best print settings please do share them :-)

Went out to use my printer for the first time in a long time... Found I'd accidentally left it turned on. It's probably been on for a month or so. Not doing anything obviously, just sitting there. But the front screen is totally white! Touch seems to be responding, as it beeps when I press on it, but I can't see anything. I already opened it up and checked that the cable was seated properly, but that doesn't seem to be the problem. Any ideas?

Just upgraded Chitubox to 1.5 for my Photon 1st serie.

Anyone can explain what do mean the settings on the right? I suppose you can modify lifting speed and distance, but exactly retract speed, what means? I use an FDM printer where retracting speed is about nozzle retraction, but we haven't nozzles... :-)

And Anti-aliasing is actually working on this printer?

p.s. these are my settings for Elegoo Grey resin, perfectly working..

Hey everyone! Finally happy to say I got the Photon on the lightning deal posted earlier. Will be using it mostly for tabletop minis and small terrain scatter. Any tips to make use easier? I hear everyone is using Chitubox as the slicer software, is that what I should go with? I also hear everyone is using the Elegoo brand resin. I'm also unclear on the post processing, do I need to wash it with isopropyl alcohol and then put it under UV rays? Finally, I have a 6 month old and cats, so I need to be absolutely sure about keeping the printer protected and filtering fumes. I was going to get a cabinet to put it in and use a carbon filter, will that be enough? Thanks in advance!
