First off, let me say this is some next level shit. I have spent my career making complex objects out of clay, so to be able to scan them and print them smaller at this resolution is staggering. Thanks to Nick Williams for helping me with the learning curve.Photos attached.

One question.. any idea why the loss of detail/smoothness in the last 3 photos? almost looks like some resin sat on top of the part and cured...

So, testing time! I ran my first print last night (it failed unfortunately, didnt stick to the bed. Will likely sand later if this next print doesnt work) so I figured I'd use the goo stuck to the FEP to test some solvents I got my hands on, namely Heptane and THF. I dont know if this will be valuable information, but it is information, so do with it what you will.
I pulled the failed print off the fep, and it seemed pretty standard from what I hear. Because I had two solvents to test, I cracked it in half (just testing cured resin vs solvent after all). The first went into Heptane, and the next into the THF. After about 5 minutes being agitated with various spatulae (I used the plastic one for the heptane, and a metal one for the thf.) I pulled them and dried them, then cured them.
I checked the container used for each, and it seems the resin is insoluble in the heptane (as expected), and just pooled into little balls at the bottom. And the THF seems to have melted some varnish off the table.
The results seem pretty good, but then again I'm no expert on what they are supposed to look like. The THF one seems hazy to me, but that could just be my imagination.
Thoughts?
