I need some guidance here: I'm printing a 35mm chibi mini, so I hollow it, but the legs are so small that basically the head and part of the body are the only ones that were hollowed.
I tried to make the holes in the body but Chitubox didn't allow me. (I tried to do a hole between the legs, an other in a wall of the mini, where the red arrow are)

These are some question that can help me understand 3d printing with resin using Chitubox

1) Is it possible to make a hole that is not in the feet or base?
2) is there a way to un-hollow it? (I don't want to loos all my support placement work)
2) What happen if I print it hollowed but without any hole?

Hello everyone and thanks for the add! This will be my second printer (i already own a trusty prusa mk3 steel). My question is for sure redundant but i need to be sure: should i go with classic or S model? I would really not want to deal with the famous z-wobble issues (are they that common?) but i feel the classic has a better well developed community. Resin gurus, enlighten me. Thank you very much!

Hey dear people,

got my Photon last week and was super happy with my initial prints (with the standard green resin that it comes with).

Now I need to print some more technical prototypes that have to hold up to some abuse. My bet was on the Photocentic DLP Firm White resin, but results where a little underwhelming. Also the 20s exposure as suggested by Mario Kaufmann (Thanks for your research btw!) is just horribly long with 13,5 hours of print time (and that 4 times, as I had to split up the model because of size).

So does anyone have a suggestion of what resin to use instead? ABS like strength would be ideal, but then its just for prototypes that will be handled rather carefully... so I can make a compromise here.... More importantly: Can't wait 2 whole days just for one final prototype. And final resolution should be better.

Looking forward to your suggestion. I'm really surprised about this community. You guys are great!

Edit: Ill post some pictures of my print once im done waiting for 13 hours ?

My uv light works (well it at lesst turns on...) but doesnt show the rectangle in the uv test, is it cooked? Or can it be fixed?

Hi guys! I usually print hollow models with 3mm thickness but I want to make them heavier without using more resin.

What can i put inside them that wont sound like a lose piece or something stuck?

I usually leave a 5 mm hole and have tried experimenting with epoxy magic sculp with good results but I still consider it expensive for that use.

Chitubox Gcode settings

Hello Chitubox users,
I'm experimenting around with the Gcode tab and am wondering if anyone has ever been playing around with different lift acceleration using the M201 command? I'd love to know if there are constraints as to what commands can be used and what can't. Coming from FDM printing it would open up a lot of familiar territory for me. Thank you all!

Has anyone tried the infill option in Chitubox? Trying to print a Nintendo Switch single Joy Con grip and I had it hollowed to 2mm thick walls but it split on me. Was just going to make thicker but I remembered that infill option.

I've got a quick question about corrupted layers in a 29 layer print that I've sliced and attempted several times with a few different USB drives that have functioned well in the past.

I have the last 4 or 5 layers artifacting every time.

My google-foo says it's likely a poor connection between mainboard and LCD but what have you guys found with this symptom ?

Note: I just checked same layers back on computer through validator reading the same file I attempted and shows perfectly normal and no artifacts in file.
