Hi folks. I'm working trying to print some HeroForge minis on the Anycubic Photon. I had some success with earlier minis, but I have one now with tiny rivets all over which looks like it would result in islands or a massive amount of supports. Has anyone had any similar issues in the past and any thoughts on how to approach this? Turning the model on it's back etc doesn't look like it will help much in this case.

Two things I am interested in trying but have not had a chance are "print in place models" and "molds printed in the flex materials".
Has anyone had experience with doing these.... ?

Picture for exposure and also next print...

I would like to sand my build plate, because of better adhesion.

But there is no-one who can sand it.

Can I use sandpaper instead? Which grain should it be? Lower than better or higher is better? Should I do it with the 80 one or with 800?

I've been having success printing supportless minis str8 on the build plate. But when I print a custom base directly on the build plate the model ends up looking squished. Then I've noticed that the bases on the supportless models I've been printing are thicker. Also the supportless model's bases have a ring around the base like an elephant's foot. This leads me to the following conclusion, and please correct me if I'm wrong:

Could it be that I'm getting that squished look due to my build plate being too low and that I need to relevel it slightly?

The pics of the bases:
Left is with supports at an angle, right is directly on buildplate.

The supports are done with a 20 to 30 degree angle. And the tip closest to the plate always looks wonky around the edge.

Has anyone see this error? Photon S: Error “Failed to open file!”
I’ve searched the group, google, and photonster’s site without much luck. At best I change the supports and re-slice the model to maybe get lucky.
