ChiTuBox just shows a black screen on every layer, thought it was a bad slice, same thing. Tried a model I already printed thinking the model had errors or whatever, same thing all black.

If I open the file in that photon validator it shows all the layers. Tried it anyways and failed at 20% and was solid for several layers, tried again with a new slice/STL and same thing but failed full screen right away.

Tried with the stock slicer and printed mint.

Is this a known issue or should I try re installing ChiTuBox? Already rebooted my pc and reformated the USB and the USB is printing right now with no issues. (Using Anycubic slicer)

Hey everyone,

I've been tasked with making a car headlight bracket by a friend and I was wondering if the standard anycubic resin would be sturdy enough to last? I've been looking at engineering/tough resins but I'm unsure if I need to get a more durable resin than the standard anycubic resin. Any thoughts?

(Still fairly new to 3d printing so any help would be greatly appreciated!)

I set wrong settings, but it's still looking ok. monocure rapid clear. normally I should set exposure time to 14secs, but I used default 8 secs instead. (have not sand the bottom yet)

Hi all, thanks for the add! I just unpacked my Photon today and have been going through the steps. I'm on to test print 4 now with only a partial success to show for my previous attempts. I think I'm having issues with bed adhesion, so this one will hopefully shed some light on that. First two prints were the photon that came with. Neither one adhered and ended up making a neat little snowflake design on the FEP. Third print was a 2x6 lego brick which looks like it might have let go about 80% of the way through. Current print is smaller brick with supports and rafting. I've reset the Z for each attempt and I think I currently have it at about .1mm above LCD this time. Any suggestions for me if this one doesn't make it through? I've also increased my bottom layers as well as the exposure time for those layers.

I've had the original photon for a few months now, and have made some successful prints, despite having USB issues. I originally had the M_11800 issue frequently, and after reaching out to AC support, they had me test directly connecting to the mainboard. I did this, and have only had issues when using files that were fixed by the file validator. Has anyone else had similar issues? Most recently, I attempted a print with a fixed file (fixing islands, no z error fix or changes to print settings), and the z axis stopped moving about 9 or 10 layers in. I then printed the non-fixed file (straight out of photon slicer), and had no issues whatsoever. Has anyone had similar results?

Otherwise, my printer has been great. No z wobble or any other noticeable defects. Thanks!

EDIT: settings in case anyone is curious:

thickness: 0.04375
normal: 9 s
bottom: 50s/8 layers
off: 6.5s
Anycubic Green (Dental I think?, still not sure if they sent the correct resin with the printer).
