I just finished the heater!

Originally I was thinking of making a 'Photonsters PTC Heater Unit', but it was a bit tricky to get parts from where I live, so instead I disassemble a $16.15 small heater to get the parts I needed.

The circuit of this mini heater is very useful because it has functions such as timer, fan speed control, temperature control function, and voltage conversion.

The case was printed with PETG, and the bent part was not melted by the heat of the heater but because of the failure of the middle of printing.

Compared with 'Photonsters PTC Heater Unit', it is slightly bigger.

Hi,

When a small quantity of resin is spilled on the table, I use a paper towel to remove it and then put some IPA to clean invisible residue. Is that enough or should I use an UV lamp over the area for a period to make it less harmless. If so, for how long?

What do you think about disconnecting the fan in this way? Thinking about doing it myself.

Has anybody increased the height of their z axis?

I'm about to start the z axis upgrade to reduce wobble. I notice the current lead screw is just free floating with a couple inches of space between it and the rail end. Any reason why this is both free floating and short? Budget?

Also thinking of switching out to a ground ball screw if I can fit one. So thoughts on that too would be great.

So, how powerful does the UV have to be for curing?

Looking for a little insight before i contact anycubic. I did a print that completed perfectly. The printer bed then rose like normal. I cleared the bed, put it back on and went to start another print and the bed won’t move. Tried the buttons......nothing. I turned off and on, unplugged and all that and I (i think) did an eepom reset as I’ve seen mentioned as a fix for this and still no response or movement from the Z axis. Anything else I should try before emailing anycubic? The unit is about 3 weeks old and have had no real issues to this point

How long for curing under the UV? Related question: does UV bounce off white? I know it bounces off snow but I wasn't 100% if that was due to the colour or the material. (IE is it worth setting up some sort of bounce to help with UV curing.)

Did a little price Comparison:

Epax X1 - $775 from China
AnyCubic Photon - $599 from Amazon.ca
AnyCubic Photon S - $641 from USA

Given these numbers, does one of them seem a much better deal for the price?

Edit: Prices are in Canadian Dollars, and while I'm happy that many of you were able to get better prices, that information is not really helpful to me.
