Quick question : I don't have a Photon yet, and have not used the DLP related slicer software, but is it possible to change the viewing orientation of the models? I find it quite confusing, when the build plate is moving up, but in the software it is laying down.
I hope you get what I mean. ?

My Photon has stopped working. It powers up and the front screen works fine but there is no activity from the fans, the Z axis does not move and the LCD imaging screen does not light up when I start a print. Is this a main board issue.
Its only a few weeks old.

Working on a Resin Torque Break Test, to use with my new digital torque meter, i'm designing the model with fusion 360 Simulation assistance.

Using PMMA as reference Material in the middle of my meter capabilities (6NM - 30Nm), so simulation is set at 15Nm

Im using Chitubox V1.3.0 and in the settings there is "Light off delay" and "Bottom light off delay".
Whats the difference between the two settings and what is the reason for turning the light off anyway?

Thanks for letting me join the group. I am switching over from Monoprice FDM printers to DLP for a very specific purpose: I do not care about build volume or even time to print. My only goal is very small prints with high detail. Typically objects that are 1mm to 10mm in size. Probably nothing ever larger than 50mm. The question: Will I see any significant difference between the Photon and the Photon-S for my purposes? I am particularly interested in the additional Z axis rod and its potential affect on Z wobble in the new design.

Got my printer about 1 month ago. Printed the cube with no issues. Had a few failures, ok a lot of failures as i learned certain things about the printer and how to get them to print. Pretty happy with getting it working now.

I have a question , as far I am selling my MOAI and will be left for some time with XFAB i need a printer with more reasonable priced resins, than DWS. At the moment I can get photon from amazon for about 350 EUR delivered or photon S from aliexpress for 360 EUR delivered. I need opinions mostly from those of you that have had both.
Is it worth it to get the S
additionally with amazon I can return it if there is a bad printer and with aliexpress I can not.
