What the best post process to make Elegoo Transparent resin not as cloudy but also not add a layer of resin to distort design? I was using Smooth-On the other day on a PLA part and tried it on Elegoo Transparent...perfect; except gave it a unconforming layer. Tried it for shits and giggle lol. Attached is after UV curing and no other processes. Thanks

Are resin prints always quite brittle? I made a pen cured it in uv light but it chipped and cracked when dropped

I know this might not be the right place to ask, but I can't figure out how to manually add supports in ChiTu Box slicer. Whenever I try, it's not connected to anything and sometimes off the build plate entirely... What are the steps for this? It doesn't seem as intuitive as the Anycubic Slicer

Hey! I'm new to 3d printing. I just got my Photon in the mail today and I will be trying it out tonight. I'm going to buy a nail UV lamp for the curing process of the prints that I'll be making. How long should I let it cure under the UV lamp? Is 5 minutes enough? Also, I of course need to dip the print in some kind of liquid straight out of the printer. Now, it is pretty hard to find proponal alcohol out here so I was thinking of using ketonatus, which is 96% alcohol in a glass jar. Will this get the job done? Thanks for your time.

hi guys, I just clean the grease on the photon but at the end I push 1cm down it was too much so it was stop by the sensor with red light.
My problem right now is that Home position is really to close of the screen. When I press Home position with paper on the screen its impossible to pull the paper out.
So when I try to leveling the build plate the 0 position is higher than the Home position.
Does anyone has a idea to help me ?

Hi!
Ive had my printer now for some weeks and I’m slowly getting the hang of things. My prints turn out better and better but there is still one thing that eludes me. No matter how I align my prints, I seem to get one area that looks “melted”. This is the area closest to build plate. Depending on what I’m printing, this is more or less a problem but lately I’ve been trying to print tanks and there is simply no area where I can afford this melting. Any ideas on what I could do to improve this? I normally print my parts in a 45 degree angel with auto supports from Chitu. I’ve adjusted the parameters on these supports according to some tutorial on this page. I’ve noticed there is a lot of skills and knowledge in this group so I put my trust in you ?
