I am struggling with the Photon-S, it says here 100x100x200 print size yet I'm told it's no larger then the Photon.

Could some one, anyone, please make a list of +s Vs -s between the Photon and Photon S :)

Thank you for any one that does :)

*Edit* I have yet to buy a Photon or S I was waiting for the S.

So, print bed number seven is my first failed print. One part formed perfectly, the other parts on the bed did not. I expected to be scraping a large amount of resin off the base but instead, I had maybe 3 layers of the raft footprint, wafer thin formed on the fep. It was easily removed, but what would cause this?

My wokring theory (apart from software error) is the fep is not clean enough to allow light to pass through those stuck layers so, once a few layers fromed on the surface, it stopped curing the resin.

Any practical advice welcome and is this an indicator I already need to change the fep (which does look cloudy and scratched after three cleans)

After doing some experiments over on resin, i received the below mentioned results.

But, the value not same from top to the bottom. Minimum of 0.1mm taper difference occurs. I conducted a test in 2 different exposure timings.
1. Size of the model not changed, the exposure time is 7secs, offtime 6.5secs, base exposure time is 28secs.

Value i got is +0.12mm from the required value in xy direction and -0.15mm from required in z direction. Taper is 0.02mm from top to bottom.

2. Size scaled for to compensate, exposure time 7 sec, off time 5 sec, base exposure time is 40sec.

Value i got is from -0.04mm at the bottom to +0.04mm at the top from required values.

This because of what?
Till now i am not able to calibrate the black resin for accurate components. Because the components has 0.02mm tolerance.

I may have leveled my printer incorrectly, or I’m reading the Github page wrong.

“Remember that as you tighten the setting (grub) screw it will move the plate down a tiny fraction more. You will find that you cannot pull the paper anymore, so you should raise / backoff the build plate level by 0.1mm increments until the plate is gripping the paper with even resistance, and that you can pull but not push it back. Then only set Z=0.”

So after doing the paper test AND tightening the setting screw, I should have backed off the plate until I could move the paper again—then set Z=0?

I was out shopping for a half mask to use when I wash my prints since I find the IPA fumes irritate my throat.

And I thought wouldn't filters like these work to filter the fumes from the printer better then charcole/hepa pellets? It wouldn't be hard to create a duct from the chamber out through a filter like this using a bigger fan.
