Just thought i'd share a tip from my many many years of resin printing experience. If you have trouble peeling cured resing off of your FEP film or PDMS vat, use a playing card to gently scrape it off. It's soft enough not to damage film or PDMS silicone, but sturdy enough to get under stubborn cured resin on the bottom of the vat.

So, apparently my fep got pierced and some resin cured on my screen...i managed to clean the screen without scraches but i don't really eant to end up in a situation like that again. Could you help me understand why it got pierce, i mean, i'm always very careful with it ? . Could you recommend me some fep to buy, and maybe a better way to install it? Is there some protective sheet i could place on the lcd? Thanks to all

Badly designed z axis?

I have some z-axis issues. At first it was not parallel to the screen so I shimmed it - all good.

Then I had I the z axis wobble so I will adjust the slider as per the various tutorials.

I also believe that a big change in part size creates a z shift on any other parts on the same build plate.

The z axis is simply not supported enough in the Anycubic Photon, but for the price of the machine, I can’t really complain.

Has anyone attempted to reinforce the z axis yet? I’m thinking of fixing some 90deg brackets to the z axis through the x & y planes. Maybe even bolt the top of the z axis to the back panel - possibly even with an adjustable screw?

Expert for point cloud, surface to volume needed.

I am having a hard time converting a high-detail data set, 16 million points.
So right now I am trying to convert in Meshlab.
Going to Filters -> point set -> compute normals, then I go to Filter -> Reconstruction/Remesh -> Screened Poission Surface Reconstruction

It works to the point, that i have the points converted to a surface mesh. But with this 2D, super flat, surface mesh I am not able to convert it to a solid in meshmixer for example.
It ends up with a lot of wrong volumes, spikes, and general computation error.

a) Any other routine, from point cloud to full volume body, nicely triangular mesh?
b) How to convert the surface to volume / fill up the empty parts on the bottom.

Blender crashes, couldn't find the make volume button in meshlab, meshmixer shows some wrongly flipped normals, can't solidify it properly.

Any input highly appreciated.

so was requested i tried pushing the same model as far as i could go with the green resin 1/100 with the green resin is absolutely doable the N scale wile its there and looks like a dog still lacking to some degree
