Painters! I have an online tool for you. This is called Gamut mask, a fast way to find out a working palette for your next miniature painting session. The old fashioned way is to cut a mask, print a color wheel and move the mask around to find the color set you want, you'd tape it down and hope no paint, resin, coffee nor hand or paw will disturb it. What layer thickness do you print at most often?

I found that 0.1 is usually enough detail for most of my models
that I print.

Something that needs finer detail I will got to 0.05 layers.

The trade off is significant when it comes to printing time.

For instance this angel took 2.5 hours at 0.1 and 4.5 hours at 0.05 layers.

Yet there is no noticeable difference because the stl file was not that detailed.

Both the frog and angel were printed at 0.1 layer thickness.

Just something to think about, I am definitely still learning this printer.

Hi all... My first post here, so to start, I'd like to say "thanks" to all of the folks here who are so generous with their time and experiences. I've been lurking for a while just soaking suff up like a dry sponge.

I've just got my Photon and and am looking forward to using it.

However, I've been trying without any luck for the last two days to download and install ChiTuBox on my computer.

I'm using an HP Specter Envy, Windows 64 bit, with Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10. I have plenty of GB of available memory.

It looks like the software downloads and installs. However, each time I try to open it, I get the following two error messages:

ChiTuBox.exe - MSVCP140.dll cannot be found
ChiTuBox.exe - VCRUNTIME140.dll cannot be found

I've installed and uninstalled the software several times. I even tried to install the Windows 32 bit version. But I keep getting the same error messages.

Does anyone here have any suggestions? (I'm waiting on a response from ChiTuBox support.)

Does anyone know the ambient temperature operating range for the Photon? I'm in central Illinois and my photon is in my garage due to odor (my wife is part bloodhound). It's sat idle the last couple months and my backlog is growing.
