Yes. I know. I shouldn't have updated the firmware unless I really needed to do so. Now I get this message every time I initiate a print. Should I be worried? Is there anyway to fix this? :-/

Has anyone used the anycubic photon to print molds for casting silicone / PDMS parts? I'm going to give this a try, and would love to hear any tips or feedback people have from past experience.

Hi all....Vent Holes in build plate? It looks like some other DLP printers have perforated build plates. Is this to vent closed-sided parts where the top and bottom faces are open, allowing them to be built direct on the build-plate without side-holes....or what?

So I'm finally receiving my Photon today !

I think everything will be setup properly :

The Photon will be on my night stand so I can fall asleep while watching the print getting done, with the gentle non filtered air coming from the fan directly in my face,

I have a straw to sip the resin from the vat to the container

A good 18 year old rhum will be used to clean the parts, so I can at least still enjoy a good glass of rhum afterwards and not waste alcohol.

As I want to have a good tan despite our winter here in Montreal , I will print with the cover opened so I can enjoy the UVs ( while drinking the rhum of course)

That said, thanks for letting me join this group, I know you will be useful and helpful, I will try to do the same and share my experiences.

any meshmixer geniuses able to produce me a file for a cylinder of 5.45 external diameter, 7.5mm height and with a central channel (subtracted cylinder) of 2.4mm.... or show me the easiest way to do it??

So I do know the rule of thumb is to never print large surfaces flat to the plate. But for this panel, where the bottom is hollow, could I get away with this? or is it better to orient it 15 degrees along the long side? Thanks for any and all feedback.
