Hi , please I need help. I am printing these "holders" and sometimes they have some defect on surface. For example I am printing 7 of those at ones but only 4 are without defect. Does anyone know why is it happening? Thanks.

Well, Hello! How are my lovely Phomans doing today? Thought to share the process of a commission that I'm working on. It's going to be one fancy fork, that I'll eventually cast in silver.

What I've done since yesterday, was to get the vague concept to the point, where it's easy to see all the big shapes. The major bits and pieces are now shaped and measured to ensure that A) can create a mold, B) it's going to fill without hiccups. I'll most likely add a few more branches that connect with the crane, but I'll leave that to later.

Today I'll start to refine the bird and add more shape to it ? Details! This is my favorite part. I'll add new pics under this same post to keep the groups feed free of floating process images.

sooo using the monocure resin for the first time and noticed the supports are going thru the model only around her stomach..supports at the bottom are rubbery... which are prettymuch at the edge of the build plate.. could that be why the supports came out soft??

Hey Photonsters, HELP PLEASE

I have been printing happily for a month now with no issues, not perfect prints but no major issues.

The printer was rested for a week and now when i'm trying to print i'm having some issues. I wanted to check my printer for z-wobble etc as i'm about to do some more precise prints so I ran the 'not a cube' test file from the group.

Disaster, the file printed but about half way up the printer appears to be curing sheets across the vat interconnected with the print. It left an ungodly mess on the FEP which I then tore trying to clean. Resin also appeared to seep under the FEP onto the screen and cure there too.

I changed the FEP, cleaned the screen etc and thought I was sorted. Also changed USB sticks and resliced the file.

The next attempt at the 'not a cube' was a similar fail but not quite as bad, the Vat also 'stuck' to the printer when trying to remove it. Although there is no residue underneath the vat or on the screen to account for anything sticking.

I cleaned up and thought i'd try a different file that I have succesfully printed before and I had the same problems, again not quite as bad but the problem is there.

Can anyone give any pointers or is it worth returning to Amazon and getting a fresh printer. As you can see from the photos the first half of the prints came out great (again not perfect but good enough for now) and the issues started higher up. As a chance both files are exactly the same number of layers so I would have though the error would come at the same height but apparently not.

Hi folks. I would like to ask if anyone ever tried 3dm resins like 3DM-impact or 3DM-pro on a resin printer like photon/shuffle/wanhao etc. (From https://www.3dm-shop.com ) For my needs of small cases and functional parts most of resins are very brittle on thin walls and I need something stronger. I had also ordered printing my part by weerg.com from pa-12 nylon with SLS and it is something absolutely different. That material is very strong and does not break so easily as resin prints... Looks like those above 3DM resins are my last chance to get satisfying results on resin printer, however they cost fortune (165eur + 20%VAT w/o shipping for a 1kg bottle). I exchanged few emails with 3dp people and they confirmed that resin is compatible with lcd printers like photon etc, however on my question regards to the exposure times they say “We can recommend you the exposure times at 50 and 100 microns layer thickness at 0.5 mW/cm2 and also at 1.0 mW/cm2.”
Anyone can translate this into times??
Please whoever had tried these resins on any LCD printer, pls share your experience.
